1980's Basso?
Hello, I was hoping someone could tell me more about this old Basso I recently purchased. It looks like it has been repainted, but it has the Basso logo on the frame. The bottom bracket is Cinelli and it has campagnolo drop outs. The rest of the components are Campagnolo, Modolo brakes and Cinelli stem & bar.
I was told that this is a 1980's Basso. Is it possible to date it based on serial number?
I recently rode the bike on a Century ride. It rode beautifully!

Go to www.bassobikes.com and use the e-mail link to send them the serial number: they should be able to tell you the year of production and maybe more. Cinelli BBs and Campy dropouts were pretty common on '70s and '80s Italian frames.
