Peugeot Bicycle Frame ID
Looks like I'm the 2nd one today looking to date my peugeot.
My brother's landlady gave him the frame and he took off all of the componentry a while ago. He gave me the frame as a birthday gift and helped me build it up into a freewheel single-speed (SUPER flat roads). I've been riding it to and from work, school and home, about thirty miles a day for the last two months. I love it, my gasoline costs have been cut in half. Anyhow, I'm looking to determine a model and year.
There is no serial number (i checked the BB and everywhere else) and no original componentry. There is one decal on the seattube which reads cadre allege. The only alteration we made to the frame was to drill the fork crown for modern side pull brakes. We do remember that it originally had a cottered crank, as we really struggled to remove it when we stripped the frame.
