Nice bike. All climbs and descents, business-like. Equal to any bike shop bike today, with money left over for a car.

Without a doubt the funkiest bike rack I've ever seen. Maybe a new Post Your Oddest Bike Rack thread?

Oh, and nice Trek too!

Did you read the title of this thread D1? lol. I actually really like my vintage DT shifters, and plan on keeping them on atleast 1 bike but I am trying to setup either my Prologue or Tempo for triathalon and messing with the dts's are a pita, especially if I'm on the aerobars. I might do bar-ends on the aerobars, or even move the dts's up onto the aerobars, haven't ruled anything out yet just brainstorming at the moment.

I originally built it for a single ride I was going to do, but health issues reared their ugly head (10 days before my ride) and that is the reason for the gearing.

Thanks. That bike rack is in this little artsy curve area on the local greenway and I just had to take some pictures there.

I really love this bike. It does all I want it to do and rides great too

Upgrade on rolling part of my Coppi. Fulcrum s4 wheels with schwalbe One tires. Also added DA 7400 stem, deda piega bars, flightdeck and to top it all of - King Iriss cage.
Still looking to upgrade crankset to 7800 or will stick with 6600 to compliment rest of groupset. Then I would call it done, even now it rides much better and weights under 10 kg, about 9.8.

So this isn't really a retro-roadie, but I think it fits. Rolled into my life this afternoon. My first full on roadie and the first STIs I've ever owned. A very lucky day is the only way I could own such a ride.

Waterford 1100 from 1999. 60cm. Full 9-speed Ultegra except the front hub which is Dura-Ace (original wheelset was full DA but rear hub went out at 1000mi). Bought from the original owner. ITM bar/stem. American Classic seatpost (the odd Waterford 27.4 size.) Full Reynolds 531 OS tubes.

More tomorrow....

Love the paint on that one. What tires are those?

I think 120mm is the longest you can get. But, the Deluxe is a nice looking stem and manufactured and finished differently than the Technomic.

I hear you about aesthetics and the negative rise vs. a positive rise. On the steel frame bike I have, I have to have it up pretty high because of that. But my vanity likes a tall quill on the bike vs. a threadless conversion. I'm using just a little bit more extension than a regular stem, so it looks more like a regular stem maxed out vs. some of the photos I've seen on fullly extended Technomics.

Thanks. Was thinking about that. In fact yesterday masked them up with electrical tape to see how it would look. Deffinetly better. Otherwise there is too much going on. Black rims also bring out those silver spokes.

Michelin Hi-Lite Classics. In basically brand new shape. Shot from this morning where they road very nicely -- although I don't have a lot of experience on 23/25s. Previous/first owner put them on a year ago right before re-injuring his shoulder which took him off the long-road biking game.

It's not a Colnago or a LeMond but it's a good rider. I'm a younger guy (30) but I like the older stuff better than the new for some odd reason.

Hudz does or used to. They're perpetually sold out of gum, it seems. They have other colors in stock, though.

those are the only possibilities ive come across, ive looked high and low and couldnt find anywhere that actually sells that color, much less lists their stock status

Because you are smarter than the average 30-year old, and much better looking.
