So if you have that shifter configuration, do you need to be on EPO to properly shift?

Maybe the syringe side has less flexibility.....

Very nice, very nice. Welcome to the forum.
Microshift? Great mix of polished/black. Well balanced.
Looks like it rides as clean as it's built.

Good odds it was built at the Panasonic National plant.
It just has that look.

It's actually the stock stem and bars that came with the Peugeot. I thought about replacing them, too but my personal rule about this build was that I was only upgrading for performance.

Great choice of bar tape/saddle - keeps the vintage appeal of the bike! Great build...!

My humble submission to the thread

I reckon I have lurked here long enough...so I figured I'd submit a few photos of my retro roadie. Picked it up at a local bike swap this past April. Its a Colnago Profil CX. Campy Veloce 9 speed ergos .....but a Shimano 9 speed cassette. Chorus crankset, Cinelli stem/handle bars. The wheels were made by Trek (they had a licensing agreement with Rolf) 20 or so years ago I'm told. That's about to change. Bought some Campy Record hubs and are having them laced to some Mavic Open Pro rims and a Campy 9 speed cassette installed. Have put 650 miles on her to date as she has become my go to bike.

The retro 71 is a birth year bike for me. Such a tasteful build, I love the subdued look and the black touches.
