1987 Trek 1000, Ultegra 9spd shifters, 105 everything else, Bontrager wheelset that later got upgraded to Mavic Aksium Race. It looks really nice with the faux carbon tape.

Upgraded the Ross with Campy 8 spd Chorus group picked up from donor bike listed on CL.
Seller started at 500; lowered to 300; when he hit 200 I emailed and grabbed it for 150.

Thanks! Pretty sure it's an original Yeti, but it's just a wall hanger with the crack. Still, was cheap and the parts seem to be in good shape so I'm happy.

These came with levers I purchased second hand. No idea, would love to match brake housings also.
I've found that jagwire do braided cable housings.

When I checked a year or so ago, you could buy the braided titanium (color not material) as part of a everything kit (jagwire racer?) and the shifter housing was available bulk, but the bulk brake housing had been discontinued or was unavailable in the US or something. That may have changed as I loved the look of the braided housing.

It rides amazingly well. May be a bit big for me. However it is so comfortable. Does the seat height look a little low?

Here's mine. Pretty sweet ride, although a bit small for me.

It's a Aussie 531c frame. PL23 on 5800 hubs. 600 dual pivot brakes. 600 headset. Pro-lite crank. Ultegra 11/28 cassette. Open Pave 28s. Cinelli 1a and Nitto Noodle. Selle Turbo. 105 shifters and derailers.

As long as you have enough standover clearance it should be good. Your STI's are clamped too high on the bars, looks kind of freddish with the tops aiming for the sky. The levers should be vertical to the ground, makes it easier to shift and brake in the drops that way.

I like that splash of green that the tires add in - maybe those are just the only tires you had on hand, or you bought them specific for this bike - either way it works and looks nice!

1984 Bruce Gordon - America's answer to a resto-mod Road bike

First Resto-Mod build. Finished April 18th and now happy and relieved. Now able to enjoy either a carbon or steel roadie in my stable :)

Vision- I wanted all American products on this build. I didn't say manufactured in the US :rolleyes:! I came close except for - Italian 3T stem (aesthetics) Prologo seat (same seat on my carbon and works for me), Japanese headset - Tange Seiki (I liked the clean look / price), German tires (I had them!)

Some highlights
Scram Red 22 11 speed drive train and brakes.
HED Jet 4's converted to 11speed hub
Rear frame cold set to 130mm

Hey thanks for the compliment. To answer your question no... I had the frame and fork powder coated murderous black ha ha ha... and found a repro columbus sticker which is the only graphics on the bike. I am small dude so I believe the bike was originally created for a woman. The color original color was a metallic pink color with 80's style graphics

Not Carbon, but carbon printed on a woven material... Probably not protect the frame from big impact but chain scotches I think it will be adequate. Hope I don't need to find out! Your levers are mounted much lower than they are intended to be on those bars and the shift cable housing from the levers to the downtube stops appears too short to position them correctly...
