Mrs Cb400's new 1987 Raleigh Granada.
Before:

After:

New consumables, new deals, lugs striped. Still looking for new Weinmann hoods and deciding on whether to replace the OEM saddle or not.

From this...

To this...
The stock tyres had perished and almost came apart in my hands when I took them off, replaced the grips, pedals, and saddle, fitted some new tyres as well as a new chain, and wiped off the dust as there was nary a speck of actual grime on the bike.
Also did a headset conversion to replace the nylon bushing with a proper upper... had to cut and face the head tube 10mm to do this but the improvement in handling and ride was worth it.

Khatfull - The picture doesn't even do that Series III justice - I saw the complete set of photos earlier, and have to say that it is one of the most pristine best detailed bikes I've seen - Plus it's been thoroughly Khatfulled. (Who could compete with that?)

Thanks, I love the paint Trek used in that period and it cleaned up very nicely. A customer who was coming to look at the Panasonic that I posted earlier saw this in the "before" state and persuaded me to trade it for his Bianchi Campione d'Italia, which should fetch more cash than the Trek would have. I'm more enamored of the Trek though, and it would have been a keeper if it were 2 cm shorter.

thank you. opening the bottle take a little practice at first, the important part is you have to use the gold Campi corkscrew

The Tiara is nearly "done", I need white bottle cages yet and, eventually, I'd like to find the white RX100 brake calipers to finish the white parts of the group. One day...and, that would complete the RX100 group I have sitting off-bike waiting for something to hang it on.
The TS III now has a rear rack and black bottle cages...and also a set of red bags that beech333 grabbed for me in his next of the woods that I'll be getting when I go for the Chicago C&V ride. Here they are hung on one of beech's bikes so he could show me:

Yeah, they're Nashbar and Performance bags but they should suffice. The red should key off the tad of red in the TS III's decals too.
Anyway, thanks again for the comments...from the two of you that's high compliments.

OK Time to mix it up slightly from all the nice roadbikes (and R-20). This Raleigh Space Rider was mine when I was a kid. My son discovered it in my parents' attic last summer. We stripped it down, repainted low budget rattle can style, dumped everything into oxalic acid, replaced all the consumables and rebuilt the rear hub (much to my surprise, it actually works). He kind of forgot about it during baseball season, but we spent a few evenings getting it put back together over the past week. A set of cork grips and better pedals are on the way, and it'll be 'done'.

Thanks for the comments everyone!!!
Yeah crocs are king right now in grade school.....I actually stumbled on the Bicycle Repair Girl pics awhile ago looking for examples of the path racer/clubman style - that's a great pic!
He's actually been fixing friends' bikes this year with simple repairs, but still needs help with stuff like derailleur adjustments.
Funny, but he hasn't touched his aluminum frame MTB or BMX in the past 24 hours, he's so busy cruising around showing off his 'new' clubman bike to everybody.
And BG I think you're on to something with the vino - my wife was looking over my shoulder & wants a wine rack on her bike now too!
