I know I have a set of the Krylon-period - I just have to dig them up. BTW, do you mean the red Zullo on your Flickr? That bike is gorgeous - it looks like a completed project right now.

You have quite the collection, too - love the Pog and the anniversary De Rosa!

Fenders are nothing fancy: Planet Bike plastic in silver. I might go with some higher-class beaten-tin stuff down the road, but for now I just need the functionality (currently summer is taking it's sweet time getting here and staying here in PNW).

I just installed a set of black Planet Bike touring fenders on my Bruce Gordon Rock n' Road. This is the touring bike I purchased from slushlover2.

As for my collection, I cannot tell a lie. That 35th Anniversary De Rosa is not mine, but is avalable locally. I do have a 35th Anniversary purchased in Germany last year though. I haven't lifted the privacy settings on flickr on that bike, as I haven't even seen it in person yet.

As for the Zullo, it is a beauty. I am in the process of rebuilding the bike with a Campy Super Record upgrade. It will take some time, but the bike is totally worth the time and money. I already have a Zullo Criterium that is in fabulous condition, and I have become a very big fan of that brand in the last year!

The Pogliaghi is a flat out, no holds barred racing bike. Built to go fast, and it has all of the handing characteristics I enjoy.

DD, your super bike here deserves its own thread. It is gorgeous and quite unique. Thanks for sharing!

One more submittal. This one is a 1971 Italvega Gran Turismo. It lost about 4 lbs in the rebuild by shedding the derailleur and crank. I replaced the sew ups with a set of 700c weinmanns-6speed was easier to find than 5. I think the water cage is probably worth more than the whole bike, hehe

To make a long story even longer..... nevermind, my daughter needed a new bike after my previous rebuild was stol... misappropriated.

Found this older Centurion Ladies "Cruiser" 10 -Speed on CL for $80, I talked her down to $50 but she was a grad student at UCSD-SIO getting ready to head home so I reneged on being an a$$, that, and she was cute.





Actually was pretty clean, surface rust on the frame, but the rims pretty clean, just a bit oxidized.



even the components were pretty darn clean after I striped it down. Granted all of the grease, I mean every where was like tar, I repacked everything.



So did I say it was pretty clean, front and rear wheel hubs after a little Mothers and steel wool, I didn't even touch the spokes. Just some surface pitting which is expected.

I have had this woman's Peugeot for about 3yrs and after I robbed the wheels for my wife's mixte project I just didn't know what to do with the rest of it until my uncle gave me a mint men's Ross bike that had the same parts as the Pug. I have a customer that wants something a little vintage to take to college and I showed her this Pug she liked it so I rebuilt it.It is hard to tell from the before pics but there was a lot of rust on the brakes,derailleurs,shifters and crankset.I also changed out the Falcon shifters for a NOS Shimano 333 unit I had along with 333 marked cables I also had.

That's a big 10-4 I will tell her when she comes to pick it up. I wanted to put a rack on it also but the seat stays were to narrow for the NOS racks I have and I didn't have the brake bridge adapter to make it work.

This bike belongs to a professor friend of mine. She has owned it for a few decades and for the last several years was hanging in her garage. After seeing a recent restoration of mine she asked if I could bring her Puch back into service.

I'm unsure of the model as the owner removed all of the logos years ago to deter theft. She opted to use the functioning German bottle dynamo system on a mountain bike she uses for commuting. The jockey wheels on the Cyclone GT RD were shot. I couldn't get the upper pulley spring back in as the "key" was bent. A friendly BF member sent a GT spring he found in his parts bin (thanks, balindamood!), but it suffered from the same bent key. I broke both trying to heat and bend them back. A Raleigh branded Suntour VT RD is working well in the Cyclone's place.

The Competition is done enough for a before and after. I need to find some black pedal straps, and I think I'm going to ditch the Carlton hoods for some Cane Creeks. It will look more, polished, IMHO. I might even sneak some Wally World black wrap on it, over the original of course. My hands aren't as numb resistant as they used to be, and it's the same stuff VO sells for about the same price.,,,,BD
