(- but shouldn't the bars have half-wraps instead of grips?)

My 1987 Fuji Sagres: a nice Craigslist find for $140, though badly in need of adjustment and cleaning. It was covered in old electrical tape that was holding on the wire for a broken computer, and the original 6-speed Suntour shifter didn't work too well with the after-market 8-speed cassette that was on there. I got a great deal on an older Dura-Ace groupset, along with some new pedals, a new saddle, new bar tape, new cables, and some new brakes (had to go with the nutted Tektro calipers unless I wanted to drill out the frame, but I'm pretty happy with them). The bike rides wonderfully, and it has some unique character to it.

I forgot to post my recent resurrection: an '88 Benotto Triathlon I bought from a customer for $50.

The bars DO make a difference! So much more authentic.

Waiting on my new honey brown leather saddle and honey brown bar tape to put on this bike. That should give it a whole new look and make it much more comfortable

Bikes: Too many Bicycles to list
Will, that 88 Benotto Triathlon came out great looking, like the painted flutes on the seat post.
I wanted to show a before & after picture of a project I did last Christmas & gave to my boss to display in our shop but had lost my photos on a bad drive, after a lot of work I found and recovered them & while not a bicycle it is bicycle related. It's a old HTK ( Tanaka ) wheel truing stand that a dear friend of mine bought new and used many years building wheels in the 70's & 80's before retiring & then giving it to me. I was really happy with the way it turned out and it is still fully functional.
Glenn
Before as found sitting almost 20yrs in a metal shed,

After, Glass Beaded, Primed/Painted & hand painted the lettering,

Thanks Glenn for the compliment!
BTW the links to your truing stand isn't working. The photobucket link isn't either, I think there's a problem with the account. Would love to see what you did with it.
I just ordered a new TS-2.2 for work, so I now have access to a stand again, woohoo!
EDIT:
I got to access the photos at work. Wicked nice resto! What a cool truing stand!
