If I were to do that, what would be your preferred method of packaging/shipping?

Spoken for by rccardr
Spinner threaded fork stamped as follows:

1988 Cr-Mo
22.2 x 28.5 ф

I measure the following:

200 mm steerer tube from top of crown to end
35 mm threaded
25.40 +/- mm OD steerer tube dia
26.40 +/- mm crown race dia

For 27" wheels I believe. It is very similar in dimension to the fork on my 1984 Fuji Touring V only with about 1" less rake. I received this fork secondhand, so have no knowledge of its history. It has no damage I can see except for some scuffs and scrapes. It's painted black.

First to respond via PM gets dibs. Send me your address, and I'll calculate shipping for you.

Free to a good home:

Shimano UN54 BB Details as follows:

  • Thread -- English
  • Spindle Type -- Square Taper
  • BB Shell Size -- 73mm(For oversize mountain BB)
  • Spindle Length -- 122mm (I measured to make sure)
  • Condition -- As New

This was installed on a new bike that I bought a few years back. I immediately swapped out the stock crankset for something better I had lying around. The replacement crankset needed a different length spindle. This BB was mounted and removed, it has zero miles.

Send me $5 via PayPal to cover postage and it's yours. Postage is for shipping to the lower 48, the two freak states will be more. Sorry, but no shipping outside of 'Merica, it's too much of a hassle.

First PM gets it.

FAQ's

Q: Will this fit my '57 Mingus tandem 13 speed with the Zagreb crankset and Sloika drive?
A: I'm sure I don't know.

Q: Will this fit my _________________ ?
A: I'M SURE I DON'T KNOW!

Some of you are self-confessed fans of Biopace (we all have our problems), so I'm going to help you out with yours...FREE for the cost of shipping:
3 Biopace steel chainrings (from a DB Mtn. bike RSX crank), these are Mark II profile, have ramps and stuff for "better" shifting at least on the 38t ring, some wear but they are steel, so will probably outlive all of us.
48/38/28
GONE!

In the spirit of MLK, I am paying forward several parts lots, you pay shipping.

In the event I get more than one PM on anything, I will chose a winner at random after a couple of days.

In the order of appearance:

1) F&R Lambert centerpull brake calipers. First preference to Lambert owners. gone

2) Large lot of vintage bottle generators and lamps. France, England, Germany, Taiwan. gone

3) Lot of three rear hubs including a Bendix with coaster brake, S-A 1988 AW and S-A 1959 AW that is missing some parts.

4) Before I scrap it: 70's era Shimano disc brake caliper. Boat anchor for sure, but good for parts or? gone to scrap bin

Bikes: 1962 Rudge Sports, 1971 Raleigh Super Course, 1971 Raleigh Pro Track, 1974 Raleigh International, 1975 Viscount Fixie, 1982 McLean, 1996 Lemond (Ti), 2002 Burley Zydeco tandem

I have lots of 26x1.75 tires. I may have several widths, actually. All are very knobby. They are all used but not worn out.

Weinmann 605 sidepulls - no one wanted 'em on Ebay so rather than throw them out I thought I'd see if anyone wants to come to SD to get them (OK, maybe they can be mailed if you don't want to visit this wonderland of wonders). Missing original cable fixing hardware, calipers in fair shape, no huge scratches - here's my failed Ebay listing, https://cgi.ebay.com/Weinmann-605-Bra...item3358fd77bf

Brandy new pair of Cheng Shin 26" white tires. Shipped to me in error and the shipper doesn't want 'em back.

Great if you want to pimp out your vintage steel-hooped Kent or Huffy, or just to demonstrate that you ride only on pristine streets.

Seriously, they are white (well really kinda cream). And 26 inch. And yours for the cost of postage.

I've got a number of things that I'd like someone in NYC to have first dibs on, mostly because I'm in the middle of working on a project that's intense, due this week and I've got no Post Office time to give.
With that in mind, I'll prioritize NYC replies until Sat:

A set of h'bars from a Raleigh Sports with the brake levers, the Sturmy 3 speed shifter and the short gooseneck in quite nice shape.
A set of Fenders from same. Not as nice shape. Front has some dents and scratches. Rear OK. Have some mounting hardware for these as well.
A Blackburn rear rack.

Hey guys!

So I've been away for the most part (enjoying my bikes!), but I wanted to come back after realizing something. I'm very content with my stable. I have my commuter and my fun/leisure bike and at this time I'm very happy. I live in a small apartment and being a pack rat is a bad habit. Therefore...

I have a plethora of things to give away to the BF forum .

My only request is that whoever is picking it up please bring a crankpuller as I'd like to keep the crankset.

Please, local pickup only as I would rather not have to ship out large items. I live in San Jose, CA near SJSU. I'd prefer for one person to take everything as my schedule is inconsistent and making multiple meetings would be difficult for me.

I'll let the offer stand for a week or so then I'll let the CL sharks have at it

Item list::

Wheelset from 1983 PX-10 (tubular + helicomatic)
Old 27' Araya rims with suntour hubs
Random wheel (I dont even know how I got it)
Alex Rim for my old fixed gear. Spokes are broken, but def salvageable.

~1983 Nishiki International frame
I posted about this awhile ago, but long story short... I had this as a fixed gear conversion. Night riding, pot hole, failed fork, broken collarbone.

The fork is still attached and still nice and pretzel like, but the frame is still beautiful and no signs of damage that I could see (even asked the C&V for help on this one). I love this frame, but I really rather see it go to someone who is going to ride it (and hopefully take some nice pics) than let it sit around collecting dust.

That's my list. I'll add more if I find anything else laying around, but for the most part that should be it. Here are some photos.

If someone here ends up picking up the lot and wants to flip the Araya/Suntour wheelset, give me a shout, maybe we can make a deal.

Three bits from a box o' parts I picked up recently:

Dura Ace AX dyna drive pedals (the ones with the huge threads), dirty; badly in need of bearing overhaul, no clips or straps.

Claimed by Exit

105 FD #1055 VGC but no cable clamp bolt/washer. 28.6 clamp

Claimed by WNG

Raleigh branded SR crankarm, drive side only, 118 BCD.
