These were hard to find for me. Maybe somebody else would like some too?

Dropout adjuster bolts. Stainless steel and long. Two pairs; the partial threaded one would probably go well with short dropouts.

First one to PM me a U.S. address gets both pairs.

I have a 1983 Trek 500, 21" frame (Reynolds 501) that needs a new downtube, 1 tt cable guide, and paint. No fork or other parts. It's been sitting around for ages and I figured I'd eventually make a stool from the rear triangle, but if someone who's handy with a torch wants it for the price of shipping, it's all yours.

Hey bigbossman... I didn't take them because I wanted someone else to get an opportunity. May I please have these? I'm sending a PM, too.

Over the past year, I have been the recipient of some great items, due to the kindness of other forum members. I realize these items are not perfect, but I think someone else can get a lot of use out of them !!

DETTO Pietro shoes sz 43 very worn but leather is still supple and in good shape.
Missing large logo patches. Compatible with LOOK Delta cleats.( Guessing they 'd be ok for SPD and LOOK KEO's also) and oldstyle two hole cleats. Binding damage on outer left shoe and crack in metal cleat plate. (I probably put 20K miles on these shoes. If my feet hadn't grown, I'd still be wearing them.) Recipient pays shipping via PayPal gift.

DETTOS gone to forum member chi-james !!!

LOOK nylon mesh and (I think) manmade leather. Sz 43
If you attacked these with a good stiff brush, probably all the outer leather surface would come off. Velcro still in excellent condition. Binding damage on outer right shoe. Compatible only with 3 hole cleats.Recipient pays shipping via PayPal gift.

LOOKS gone to one of the local Fixie kidz

Specialized Cleats. Very little wear. I'll pay shipping.

I'd prefer the shoes go to two different people, so more can enjoy !

PM me with your particulars, and I'll give you my PayPal addy.

Almost complete Shimano 105 1050series 6 speed indexed group. Everything but the FD: Crank, RD, brakeset, brake levers with white hoods, shifters (they work fine, indexing is nice and crisp), BB ,etc. Came from a stripped down shed-stored bike so some rust in the bolt heads and a little smarminess over everything. Everything is filthy and needs a good cleaning and rehab but...I think it would make great beater-bike fodder. 105 stuff JUST DOES NOT DIE!

Ask me nice and who knows what might be tossed in the box: cables, housing, saddle, tires, etc.

Yours for the cost of shipping- medium USPS priority box so figure like $12. My PP ID is rccardr@cox.net.

Let's get this to a worthy home, so no flippers puhlease.

That's extremely generous of you, rccardr!!! I hope the recipient makes good with this set. I like 105, it really is well built and looks good, too.

And since SouthpawBoston just checked in, I'll add that I received an old Nuovo Record set of derailleurs today from him. With which to experiment freeing up a sticky wicket. Thanks Anton!

I suppose it's been claimed by now, but put me on the list, if it comes available.

OK, rewind time. The receipient of the filthy 105 groupset has recanted and believes that it should go to the 'most needy person who could really use an almost complete groupset'. So, let's hear your stories. Struggling friend, needy child, unfortunate co-worker, knock yourself out.

All replies to this thread (no PM's, please) for the next 48 hours, then I choose the lucky recipient. Be shameless, but also be advised that the box has gotten, um, heavier.

Well as I said my best friend has a knee problem that prevents him from running. He sees me cycling and wants to join me but doesn't have a bike or even know where to start. I think this group would be a great project for him and I to get him in the saddle and getting his exercise pain free!

Well, hard to beat a ruined knee, but, I'll try:
-unemployable: two ruptured discs, surgery done but didn't even touch the pain so can't work; older worker
-needing a group to build up a Club Fuji in the worst way
-I have bits and pieces that would complement the group
-Just lost my dog, he was nearly 17 years old, blind and deaf, and had tumors all over his body
-my remaining dog is sick
-two young kids dependent on me
-getting really embarrassed

How's that for a sob story? If it weren't for the fact that we're not in the flood plain, I'd have more...

Doc Cannondale,
I'd be interested in the 105 offered. I'd use it towards rebuilding my collection. My C&V adventure began in 2007 with a box of 105 7 speed parts from a crashed Specialized Sirrus I got off CL. I cleaned and refurbished all of it and stored it away for its restoration that never took place.

EDIT:
I deleted the rest under advisement.
