no access to pics! (wanted to see pedals)

[strike]I have a couple of cheap used 110 BCD chainrings hanging around that I don't need anymore. Odd tooth counts that might be useful for half-step or some other mad science:

- Origin8 41T (silver, one of those dual-pattern 110/130 BCD rings)
- Kingstar 43T (black)

I can post or send pics if interested.[/strike]

Only small but given the fact that they were so destructible (like this one's twin), if anyone has a single plastic chromed bolt cap for a chain set, with O ring, I have it's twin. This was from a n early 90s 600 tricolour. Postage free worldwide.

Tom noglider, sending email for Animal platform pedals, my commuter could use a replacement for the junk plastic odyssey platforms.

I have a Masi catalog/brochure from 1988. I'd like to pass it along to a member here. My only criteria is that you own a 1988 Masi.

Here's a picture of the front and back cover

Free to someone with the right fork. This lamp bracket was taken from a Carlton Corsa, now long gone, as is the mounting bolt. It's a little rusty as you can see.

I have a 68cm frameset I'd like to give away. Yes, really, 68cm. It's gigantic. It's rough and needs some rust remediation. Once you've done that, you've got nothing special, just something to build a beater bike out of. Pay me for shipping, and it's yours. That will probably be $30 or $40 shipped to the US.

Pictures are here.

I'm checking with a friend of mine who is 6'8", but I think he is set up with a bike that fits already and would not have a use for this.

Tell him one bike is not enough. ;)

Did that mount to an oblong bracket on the fork that was about 2" long? If so I am very interested.

Nope, sorry. Just a round threaded boss like so:

I have an old british bike with a right-side lamp-mount on the fork as well. But I don't anticipate ever using it to mount a light, in particular whatever light that mount is specifically for.

I don't have a clue what lamp it's for. Some folks on the forum would either know or have a good guess, I suppose.

Just looked at your Falcon thread. So you wound up keeping it after all?

due ruote-

Ever Ready, Dunlop, Lucas and others made twin battery powered lamps with a slotted rear bracket that fit right over fork bracket like one on the Carlton in the photo. Reproductions are still available.

Here's one of those lamps mounted to the bracket on a Raleigh Lenton Grand Prix (though I replaced the original bulb with an LED setup):

Thanks, guys. Very illuminating.

Yes, it's hanging from the ceiling in my garage, probably never to come down. I've sold off the very old derailleurs and shifters (which I hated), replaced the replacement 600 crankset with a more appropriate beautiful campy crankset that I got in a barter, and now it's waiting for maybe being tried out as a fixie some time. It's too small for me, but I'm just too attached to it sentimentally because it was dad's, and all growing up it was the mythical platonic ideal of a european race bike. I realize now it's not really anything super special, but...

I've been getting a lot free stuff from my fellow C&Vers lately, so here's one offered up to keep the karmic wheel trued: early/mid 80s Canadian-market Kuwahara Apollo Aries MTB frame/fork only. Seat tube 48cm, top tube 55cm c-t-c. Standard sized tubing for that time with 1" steerer. Weighs 8.8 lbs on the scale. Nothing bent, or terribly rusty, but there are some visible rust in spots here and there and in the BB. Paint is too far gone to renew, so it's either a repaint or beater project.

Western Washington based folks will have priority on claiming this one (we can meet up) but I will ship it, too. Postage probably around $28 west coast, maybe $8-10 more for east coast.

Anyone want a pair of 27" rims?

I have here a pair of Fiame, I think. I think they're from about 1970.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-j...3459.JPG?gl=US

Come and get 'em in midtown Manhattan (near the Empire State Building) or I'll ship them at your expense.

I have a couple other pairs as well... more on this later.
