Bikes: Miele Gara, Schwinn Moab 2, Specialized Hardrock, various other bikes in disrepair

TAKEN

In return for the pay it forward kindness I've received:

A Soubitez 89 headlight. Works fine, just needs a little polishing up. Also missing one of the bolts to attach to the bike, not a big deal---I'll look around in the box again and see if I can find it. First to PM gets it.

In case you can't see the photo I tried to attach (I can't see it for some reason), you can find it right here:

I found something else to throw up here:

A pair of Weinmann brake levers from the late 60's, no hoods, non-aero, with some road rash. All the parts are there, though, so they are working. They probably would shine up nicely if you put some time into them.

EDIT - GONE!

21 bikes to kids as of today at 1 pm. One was an '83 Raleigh Rapide, in black w/red lug trim.

At 7 pm, I found 2 more plus a trail-a-bike in my driveway.
I have calls to pick up 5 more. It's getting out of hand, in a good way.

If WalMart didn't carry that rust remover, I'd be lost, or at least a lot farther behind.

I wish I was in NC, I'd offer to come by and give you a hand! I've tried to put up ads up on CL to do something similar, but no responses, and I actually had the guy from one of the LBS get really offended that I was looking for bikes to GIVE away to people, rather than buy from him I guess. Needless to say, I don't patronize that place anymore.

edit: hey, is it ok if I put a couple non-bike things up here? most of my bike stuff is well used at the moment.

Two free bikes local pick up in Cleveland Ohio ---- I would prefer that each bike go to different people.

I will also offer up 1 rebuildable classic old middle weight cruiser bike. Nothing fancy (sorry no springer forks or wild tanks) and maybe a ladies or may be a diamond frame -- lives with MKeller now in Canton.

Bikes: '77 A-D Vent Noir, ' 78 A-D Ultima, '78 Raleigh Pro, '80 A-D Inter 10, '84 Santana Tandem, '88 Trek 2000, '89 Rossin SLX, '2001 Tommasini Tecno, Bianchi Peregrine MTB

I have a new, still in the box, factory replacement aluminum fork for a first generation Trek 2000. The color is "ecru", an off-white. I bought it as a spare in case I crashed my race bike and I'm thankful I never had to use it.

Going to Ektachrome

GONE>>>>>>>Leather toe clip covers. Bought these from VO a couple years ago and found I'd rather ride than sew. I believe there's enough for two pedal sets

#'s 28-30 to kids today.
I have 3 more to deliver by Wednesday, 2 little purple Schwinns for girls and a red Mongoose for a boy.
After delivering 2 adult bikes and a trail-a-bike on Saturday, I'm done for the year.

And tired, and my cuticles are shot. But it's all very good.
I think I'm developing an aversion to 0000 steel wool and WalMart rust remover.
But I'm actually figuring out how to adjust tuna can brakes, and tire patching in my sleep.

Then I changed about a dozen tires of MINE, and only popped 2 tubes.
Those "delayed" explosions sure make you jump about midnight in the garage.

Time to make room in the basement. This is from a project that I will never get around to.
Wheels: front is a Bridgestone dynohub. I also have the light. Rear is a drum brake. Both are laced to 27X1 3/8 stainless steel rims. Take 1 or both. I'll also cut out the hubs if that is all you want.

Hubs and light have been claimed.

The rest of the bike is a Bridgestone mixte. Once again, you can have whatever is in the photos.

The black fork is a 55 Schwinn tiger.

This stuff is heavy. I use UPS for large items, USPS for small. Actual shipping fees and it is yours.

Enjoy, Dick

Everything has been taken! Enjoy

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

80s Cyclone pedals

Right pedal is complete, albeit a little battered. Left pedal is missing dustcap, locknut, toothed washer, and balls.

Recipient pays shipping...

GONE!

That was fast!
