Those are pretty valuable little guys according to EBay. I have one of the suede ones that I will likely never use either. I’ve gone to straight slotted saddles. No pressure on the underlayment!

I thought it would have value there also and had it listed for about a month; started out BIN $40 and dropped the price down to $15 with no takers so I figured someone here might appreciate it. Same story with the Dura Ace cassette. Maybe it's just me and that cloud that follows me around.:notamused:

A home has been found for the wayward Suntour bits!

Suntour XC Expert 7-speed triple front & rear mechs and bar end shifters. Note, I am not sure if all the bits for the rear derailleur B stop are there. All I did was remove it from a frame but it seems like a retaining clip is missing; caveat emptor. PM me if you want this bundle and I will ship it as quick as I can!

More parts from my bench if anyone wants them; a PM will get the process started. First up is a Shimano MF-Z012, 13-24 six speed indexed freewheel. It's grimy I know, sorry.

Second up is a Sun Tour 13-24 six speed freewheel. No model number so your guess is as good as mine. On the plus side, this one has been cleaned up.

Next up is a set of Shimano PD-1056 pedals, these are the old-style Look compatible ones. Normal wear & tear, nothing too crazy.

Finally, here is a pair of Dia Compe "Compact" aero levers. Some scratching but no gouges, some wet sanding & polish and they'd look spiffy. The hoods...well the hoods are grungy & kind of gooey, but maybe someone has a magic potion to make them usable.

This axle came out of a damaged Campy NR hub and appears to be an aftermarket item. Seemed smooth when it came out, so might work for a number of hubs. Axle length is 140mm Cost of shipping from Bloomington, IN PM me. Smiles, MH

I have bolts that are a bit longer maybe 2mm that will work with the original washers. I ordered 100 and use them with two washers so they insert the same distance as Campy bolts in a spindle. The ones I have may not be quite as long as you might need to be sure you have good purchase in the spindle. If you want two lemme know. Send shipping info. Smiles, MH

Here is something a little different: An unread, basically new copy of End to End by Paul Jones. Although I am 4,300 miles away from the start of the Land's End to John O' Groats ride and will likely never get to attempt it, I really enjoyed this book and I hope someone out in C&V land will as well. hang on: that restaurant is in LA (West Pico blvd.) and that shot of the Cliff House is 400 miles North in SF (and my Grandfather used to cook there, but I digress)
Neither one is at the destination of the tour that starts in Cornwall (Lands end) and ends at the North-Eastern tip of Scotland (John O'Groats)

Got two frames up for grabs
First is a Novara Trionfo , about 1988, 58 c to top, check for measurement photo for your take. If it looks like an Ironman in different livery, it’s because it is. . Tange 1, unicrown fork, internal brake cable and DA front derailleur. Why DA? Story I got was that these were misdrilled for bottle cage, factory subbed a DA because it would fit.

Second is a US built(Mississippi/ SC?) Schwinn LeTour. Also 58? Again see photos. True temper with tange fork. BB needs to be replaced , as does headset.

Prefer local pick up but if you’re willing to to wait until I find a box, I’ll ship at your cost

It says Chicago because the headquarters were there. The frame was built in Mississippi or South Carolina, I forgot which.

While South Carolina does have a Greenville, the Schwinns in question were built in Greenville, Mississippi. And they're pretty nice bikes, too. I had an '88 LeTourthat I ran in a Clunker Challenge in '22 that was a surprisingly decent bike on the road, despite looking utterly hideous when I acquired it.

Yes, I bought and sold a couple of those bikes. They were really nice, and they were what the market wanted. Too bad it went out of business. Too little, too late.
