Brian,
Probably a good thing! The frame is a mongrel having Italian cups and a 68 spindle. Likely tapped out in the past due to thread stripping or similar damage. it is going to the scrap yard on Monday. Smiles, MH

First generation Look PP65 pedals, my friend Mike bead blasted them for me back in 1992 'cause I was thinking I would re-finish them:roflmao2:(33 years later it doesn't look like that is going to happen), bearings are still smooth so they got that going for them,

Not vintage I know, but it is a decent part, Truvativ Elita crankset, 170mm arms, 110mm BCD, uses a GXP BB,

Shimano BB, model/type D7EL (something to do with chain line?), 73mm, 126.5mm spindle,

Shimano BL-M601 brake levers for V-brake - I did not know this, but Curbtender says that these are adjustable for long or short pull brakes, who knew?,

Another Deore LX crankset, FC-M560 (how many of these things do I have??), 175mm arms, other than some foot rub pretty nice shape,

Selle Italia Mythos saddle, 203g, good condition with some minor scuffing and discolored saddle rails from seatpost clamp, these are actually pretty comfortable saddles,

Bike is now gone, this turned into a great story. I got contacted by a college kid who saw my Craigslist ad for the bike at $50. He said he worked with a group who fixed bikes and sold them to other kids at the college and asked if I had any room on price. I asked what college/group and what did the sell the bikes for? He replied with the info and said they tried to sell bikes for $60-$100 and that my bike pushed the limits, needing new tires, but he wanted it. I responded that new price was $20 (only because I have found that free often results flaky behavior), bike was his. We set a time for a few days out, he messaged me he would be taking a bus (2 hour ride) & riding the bike back. Got a message at our appointed meeting time that he had mistakenly gotten off the bus early and was 40 blocks away, which I knew was mostly uphill for him. I messaged back that I could bring the bike to him, or pick him up, and he responded "no need, the adventure is all part of the fun!". I had previously warned him that the tires were dried and splitting, he arrived with 2 tubes and a tire around his shoulder, a mini pump and 2 tire levers & a multi-tool, ready for a 20+ mile ride back to the college. I told him the bike was free, and got out some tools to help him adjust the seat post and double check the brakes and shifting. He kept telling me it didn't seem right to take the bike for free. I told him to come back with a car and I would give him a couple more and a pile of parts!

I believe Merz helped design and engineer those composite cages, very light and strong for back in the day and probably still not too bad.

Perfect for any Stumpy, Allez, Hard Rock, Expedition, Sequoia, etc, etc. ;)

Hey I'm interested in this, but that link is just taking me to BF main page. I'd like to know if it's a suitable size to squish/tie/ziptie into the center of Jones H Loop bars. Is it about the same size as this custom-designed one? (not the roll below the bars, just the oblong inside the handlebars)

Not sure about link? works for me when I click on it? my pics were not great anyway. bag is like this one below. Mine is very similar, but with clear "map top". It has an internal frame to keep it rigid (mine is metal rods) with a solid floor and back wall (where bracket attaches->;). Designed to attach to the Cannondale quick release bracket, which I don't have, was hoping someone might have one?

Hi—sending a PM. I’ll take the hyperglide only and/or uniglide/hyper glide freehubs if they’re still unclaimed. I’ve got a uniglide-only 600 wheel I’d love to convert to hyperglide.

thanks!

I've decided to part with my Schwinn Super Sport frame. I got it free from Scott Grune (no longer on BF) several years ago now, so it only makes sense that I pass it along (the next steward covers postage). Over the years, I've reconfigured it a few times, mostly different wheels and tires, but drivetrain as well. The seat tube measures 25" ctc, top tube 23" ctc. It's been my winter road bike the past couple years. I'm preparing it for an oxalic acid bath, so the pictures at the end of the linked album highlight the rust speckles showing through the paint and chrome. (Note also the ding under the top tube.) Here are a couple highlights though. Included with the frame will be the headset (Tange Levin CD), seatpost binder bolt (Sugino) and bottom bracket (Tange Seiki cartridge bb, 110mm spindle).

This frame was found during a trash clean-up on a oceanside hill. I took a few parts off it, I will use for other projects.
Trek 970 - 19.5" Frame & Suspension Fork - Free for the taking

Edit: Seatpost is stuck (haven't really tried to get it loose) Seatpost will spin now, got it broken loose, soaking some more, should come free. Seat post is now free, no longer stuck. There are some rust spots on the frame. Canti posts were pretty rusty, but when I hit them with brass brush, they cleaned up fine. No idea on status of Suspension fork. It moves if I push on it. Don't have to take the fork.

Edit: Will also come with bottom bracket and headset

Would prefer local ( Los Angeles) pick-up, but maybe you can con me into shipping?

Claimed.
For the cost of shipping. I only have Venmo unfortunately because my credit union stopped Zelle.
Velo Orange Grand Kru aluminum sealed bearing jockey wheels. Only 10 teeth, not 11. One wheel was mounted for 1 ride, the other has never been used.
It's obvious to me now, but I didn't realize at the time that my Shimano 600 SIS derailleur has 11 teeth. Was trying to experience firsthand if I could feel any difference with sealed-bearing jockey wheels. After mounting it I noticed that it looked a bit small, though it did seem to work fine. I didn't notice any huge difference. :)
