There are a few 1" forks in this bunch. A couple of black ones and a few chrome ones. I can post pics when I get some time. Give me the lengths of your steerer tubes and I'll see what I've got.

I can use any size steertube, Ive got a shortish headtube, but I also have access to a fork threader. Chrome would be nice. Lugged would be even better as long as its for a 26" tire. Thanks.

the steertube from mine is about 7 inches (~178mm) long. I hope I'm measuring right, though.
as above, just needs to be 26". I don't really care if it's black or chrome

SPOKEN FOR! Have fun Machin Shin.

Shimano 400 rear derailleur + Shimano 400 Uniglide front derailleur

Would work for restoring your Schwinn Traveler III or other vintage ride.

I'll pay shipping, but I would like to hear what project the DRs will be used for. Send me a PM to claim.

Just wanted to say thanks Treebound for the Schwinn frame! I am building a parts-pile beater road bike out of a Miyata Triplecross frame, and I ended up using the Schwinn fixed cup and headset bearings on the Miyata build. The fixed cup is a temporary measure but the rebuilt headset is smooth like buttah!

GONE!

I've got one (1) Clement Tipo tubular tire, 700c. I'm not sure how old it is. The tread looks great. There are micro cracks (dry rot?) along the sides of the rubber tread, but you have to look very closely to see it. The casing looks good, is supple, and has no cracking. The backing tape is beginning to separate on one side, but nowhere is it completely separated from the tire.

Vintage wool/arcylic blend (i think) jersey. Tiny pin hole on the shoulder on the back. I think it's a euro size 5, but fits closer to a 4. I can take measurements later if anyone is interested. First person to PM with interest gets it:

SPOKEN FOR! Enjoy, Fibber.

Suntour Compe-V FD

Missing the pinch bolt and the plate-looking thing that goes with it (see photo). Maybe you have something that would work? Should clean up nicely.

I'll take the '78 if you still have it. The SLDB only has photographic images and I need the scans ...

Don,

I'm fighting a losing battle with the Suntour Spirt FD on my daughters 1978 Motobecane Mirage. The chain contact surfaces are severely grooved, and the movements are poor due to worn joints. Any thought if a switch to a Compe-V would be plug-&-play? Could I take parts off of the Spirt to complete yours? If it looks possible, I'd love to have it. Should I PM you?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Just take it - but be advised, the action is the opposite of most FDs. It should fit on just like any other derailleur, and if you're lacking a proper pinch bolt, I have one on my beat Compe-V (I recently got a very nice replacement) that you're welcome to have.

Each of the following is yours for $5 Priority Mail shipping (I'd prefer they go to two different BFers, too):

A set of Modolo Corso brakes, nutted, w/ reach of 45-65mm. No pads. The finish on these is fairly, uh, course, but they worked fine when in use. The rear brake is missing the original barrel adjuster, but I have a functional substitute. The attachment hardware is also not likely original.

A Ritchey front hub, 32 holes, w/ QR skewer, used but shows very little wear.

Neal

Re-re-Edit: Both bits are now claimed. Thanks.

Sure, Steve, PM me with your address and I will send along. Not sure about whether the pinch bolts are interchangeable, but looks like USAZorro is offering you one from his. Please note the 'plate' looking thing that goes between the pinch bolt and the threaded hole is also missing, whatever that is called.

This was a donor FD that I picked out the parts bin at Working Bikes Cooperative, specifically for the pinch bolt and plate that mine was missing. There are a couple of good threads on here about the Compe-V if you are interested.
