80's/90's Raleigh Clubman Help

I've just bought what seems to be a Raleigh Clubman from the late 1980's/early 1990's. It states on the frame that it was hand-made by Carlton Cycles, Worksop, and is made of Reynolds SMS tubing. Does anyone know anything about this model of Raleigh badged Clubman at all as I can't find a thing on any of the search engines? I did notice in a 1984 catalogue that Raleigh were still making a Clubman model, so I presume this was just a model from their standard line.
Cheers,
Gary.

If it was made in Worksop it is about pre-1975. Roger

I'm living in Paris at the moment and just bought it from a guy off of ebay. It definitely looks newer than 1981.

Found it!

I had a look in an earlier Raleigh catalogue and it looks like this model:

The gears are made by shimano though (Altus), so it may be a slightly later year than 82/83. It has a WA serial number on the frame that I will examine a bit more closely today...

Bikes: Raleigh Record Sprint

Hi
I bought a Raleigh Clubman 12 new in 1982, when it first came out. For information it came fitted with Campag 980 front and rear derailleurs, and a Sun Tour Ultra 6 freewheel block and matching Silver chain. I seem to remember it was revised a few years later, with the addition of the Lady Clubman 12.
