Colnago Arabesque question

Can anyone tell me what colors were available on the Arabesque? Also, was the Arabesque a custom or stock frame?
I have a white one and have just begun a complete resto job and was planning to change the color but thought I'd ask for info first. I've only seen white and a weird tan looking color.

Thanks
KRhea

There was one on NYC craigslist recently (I posted about it in eBay/CL sticky thread) that was pink translucent over chrome -- that has a name, but I've forgotten it. The one on the yujitakahashi page referenced above was finished using the same process.

I'm sure that's indeed correct (though I've seen both).

Ernesto told me that a whole shipment of Arabesque frames was stolen. They were just as much standard stock frames as any other Colnago frame.

Thanks for the responses and great info. I'm planing to have mine painted an ultra shiney "candy" type bright purple with gold/white decals and pantographed parts. Not sure about bar/stem/wheelset yet.

But the wheels will have spinners on them, right?

There is a way to powdercoat over chrome to produce the same result, with better durability.
check here https://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?i...ORY&itemID=458

This takes me to the home page. Is it really possible to do a colored clear, in a thin powder (remember that one of the features of the cromovelato paintjobs was their ability to how off borders and details really well)? Anyone know of a painter/coater willing to do it? On a separate note, how does one mask for powder?

Thanks,
Danny

The Arabesque was a stock frame. The 1985 Colnago catalog shows it in two versions. One is the traditional racer equipped with Campy Super Record and the other with upright HBs & fenders and called Arabesque Gentleman.
