Campy ID - RD with no markings?

I've got this Campy rear derailer with model name or markings at all. It's NOS but does have flaws - some scratches because one limit screw was missing from the factory.

Any ideas what group this is - I don't even know if it's 7,8, or 9 speed! Is it typical to not even have a model number on the back side?

Cage is different that the 92-94 Record. As is the cable tension screw. Might be Chorus? I have several early 90's catalogs on velobase.com that might be able to ID it for you with a little research, but I don't see anything in the component listing that matches.

Chorus then. I figured Record wouldn't use a stamped steel arm on the rear of the parallelogram - is that a correct assumption?

Now to decide....Sell? Keep? ??

There were three people all trying to answer the post at the same moment. I got an error message but then magically, my response appeared along with two others.

This is probably true though I was not aware of that. The closed upper part of the front plate is a chorus feature... I am suprised chorus wouldn't use an alloy inner plate as well though, just because 1st gen was such a well made derailleur. You can tell the difference from the front because record would have used an 8mm nut to fasten the cable.
