I'm sorry I couldn't resist. Those are bikes pulled out of some of
Amsterdam's canals during yearly (?) clean up.
My bikes have 2 rooms that they share with
either my audio equiptment or my dive gear. The ones being punished
sleep in the garage.

Bikes: Schwinn Traveler Fixie, Fuji Berkley commuter, Specialized Sirrus road rig, ++ many more
Previously, two on a vertical rack in the kitchen, two more leaning against it, two in the hallway, two or three in the bedroom, a couple outside. Currently, in the basement, waiting for some attention. hopefully soon, they will live in the new basement/bike room of my new house. Too many to count at the moment, i need to thin the herd a little.

I've got pics now!
As promised, here's pics of my bike storage:
The view as one enters our loft:

The Catamount is above to the right:

The Colnago normally resides above to the left, currently housing the Yak Rack:

The Vitus is straight ahead up high, above the Merckx:

The Merckx is below the Vitus, between the wall and our cycling gear:

The view back down the hall, as if exiting:

The SS MTB is leaning against the window, between the back of the couch and the fish tank, behind the table:

The wife's Biomega is on a stand by the window between the knick-knack shelves and the tarantula shelves:

The Colnago is currently on a stand next to the bookshelves:

Just finishing up putting in the new kitchen in the new house. The 100 boxes from IKEA were taking up nearly the entire basement but they're mostly gone now. As soon as the wife and I finalize plans for the basement, I'll take over a corner for the bikes!
Currently, our five bikes are all milling around together along a basement wall. I'm chomping at the bit to buy more, but being housepoor is winning out at the moment. Pictures soon!

Here are some pics of the previously mentioned setups of mine (on page 1). Four bike rack with my Merckx up top, 73 P13 below and the Fuji track on the other side. :
Many of the others are hanging or sitting below the hanging ones. In the picture the white one hanging (86' Schwinn Peloton) and the grey bike to its right (76 Paramount P14), and then two out of three sitting on the floor below them are mine (84 Le Tour polo bike, GT GTB track bike, and currently my Viner track bike [not the now sold Lotus that is shown in the pic]):

The rest of my other bikes are sitting in other places in the basement by themselves held up by one of those holders that fits around the frame and supports under the BB, or a stand that a crank arm fits into.

The really pretty ones sleep with me, the others have to sleep in the garage.
Just kidding, all my bikes are pretty, and they all stay in the garage.
Speaking of which, I just finished building up my wife's new old De Rosa, and my new old Merckx. Pictures as soon as I stop riding long enough to take them

Bikes: I used to have many. And I Will again.
My two oldest bikes are hanging, sleeping safe and sound, in another state. (Just beyond the left of the Nashbar is my brother's Triumphe Reynold 531 road racer w/ Shimano 600. The frame is identical to a Raleigh model from the same time period.)
All my other rides are being broken down and packed for cross-crountry shipment. When I get down to NYC, these two will also.

Hi,
.
I have two sets of vintage bikes, those I ride over the
year's coldest six months and those I ride in the warmest.
.
The three off-season vintage bikes sleep quietly where my
vintage wine would rest, if I had any vintage wine, in the
cellar.
.
The three on-season vintage bikes sleep in the bike bedroom,
the room my wife refers to for reasons I don't understand
as the dining room. Since the twins left for college and
beyond, most of our eating is done in the bike shop, which
my wife refers to for reasons I don't understand as the
kitchen.
.
Fortunately, my father-in-law was an avid cyclist and also
had a home with a bike bedroom and a bike shop... and a wine
cellar where he kept bikes, not wine.

Hi KRhea,
Very impressive workshop. Much better than my local bikeshop and with a far more impressive array of fine bicycles as well.

Well, about 12 in the garage hanging upside down. About 2 in the garage on the floor and one in the garage in a stand. Three or four in the house: one in the hall, one in the nitch by the front door, one in a beadroom(OH, make that two in the bedroom).
When I am done, I hope to have 3-4 in the house and the rest hanging in the garage.
I have to stop buying bikes
