I've always wanted a pearl black myself....
Welcome back Dr. D! You've been missed! :) |
I wanna stealth fighter black, the stuff that reflects radar, or NanoBlack, the stuff that reflects only .3% of lights shinned on it (blacker than pitched black!) and ride it at night. :D
|
Dr. D. lookin as crazy as ever! Stay focused and finish that baby! The home stretch is in sight.
|
Dr. Deltron-
Where have you been? Eric |
Yay, another one in the lineup is heading for completion :) .
East Hill |
Hey, Dr. D
Glad to see you're back on the 'net! stan . |
Welcome back Dr. D!
|
What a nice job. But not as nice as this guy:
http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=433966 Black is definitely the new black. |
Looking good. Gold stripes on black.... just can't help but think of Smokey and The Bandit. :D

Take care, -Kurt |
How much more black could it be? The answer is none. None more black.
(I'm surprised no one has quoted this yet.) |
I see a red door, and I want it painted black.
No colors anymore -- I want them to turn black. |
|
I already bought a black Brooks Pro and ekhide bar cover for the black Peugeot, but now I'm thinking that brown might look better. Any opinions?
|
Dr. Deltron just called to ask if I wanted him to put gold around the seat lug and bottom bracket. It originally had gold around the head lugs only. I told him to go ahead and do it all. It's not going to look original anyway. I don't think they ever made a black '74.

Did they ever make a black PX-10 at all? I think only white, grey, and blue (and then only for a few years). Educate me, if I'm wrong. Looks good, though!
Karl I'll call mine the european version with the optional extra gold striping and clear coat. Who'll know? |

I like the idea of dark brown saddle, bar tape and cable housing.

Not gold leaf, just gold pin striping paint. I think he uses One Shot.

And upon attempting this, I come to find that my eyes don't focus AT ALL, at that close range anymore.:( ...so Murphy dictated that this all came together late at night in a dark shop, doing naaarrow gold lines with liquid gold on a gloss black frame. . . less than stellar is all I can say. (sorry DirtDrop..I'm going to call you.) but from a distance, it's pretty black & chrome!:D (my <100k's; before, during and now) |

Oops..didn't have the jpegs on the other disk.
I could lie, & say one of my 5 year olds did this! or maybe they SHOULD have done those lines!:innocent:  Brian Bayliss I'm not. |
Mark,
You continously outdo yourself and as always, remain a wee bit hard on yourself. Blackie the Peugeot looks superb! I've been waiting for nice weather to take a good outdoor shot of Sporty. When I do I'llsend you a real copy, not just some email version. And for some reason Mrs. PB wants to call it "Sparky" (I believe she feels it is more sparkly than sporty)! |

Sorry - couldn't resist poking fun at Peugeots, as usual. -Kurt |
Beautiful Doc....
I've got his one permenantly etched in my bike lust lobe: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26sa%3DG (scroll down to the 1987 Anniversary Paramount section...) and click if you dare. Steve |
