Is this derailleur real?

Is this derailleur real?
Or did someone screen this as a joke/claim to "rarity"?

I was under the impression that most of the "Sugino 75" stuff was intended for the track (although I am fairly certain I once saw a 75 double). Sugino and SunTour were partners so why would Maeda manufacture a dérailleur and badge it as a Sugino to compete with SunTour? Badging Sugino cranks as SunTour makes sense as full matching gruppos are then available. Was there ever a complete Sugino road group?

I seem to recall a partial Sugino road group of which this derailleur may have been a part. It's a hazy memory though. We're talking more than 20 years ago. This derailleur is a Sugino badged version of the last generation Superbe Pro before Suntour introduced Accushift, and in my opinion one of the finest friction shifting mechanisms ever made.

I'm pretty sure there was a whole Sugino road group, though I don't remember if it was '75' or not. I've seen this exact derailleur before in person, too, so that I can at least vouch for.

There is a complete Sugino 75 road group, which was created to celebrate Sugino's 75 year anniversary in 1985. the derailleurs were based on the Suntour Superbe Pro line and manufactured by Maeda for Sugino. I believe Sugino, in turn, used to manufacture SSP cranks for Suntour. Both were members of the JEX trade group.
The group consists of cranks, FD & RD, brake calipers, carbon levers, carbon DT shifters, carbon clipless pedals, and the aluminum honeycomb Tyranno disc wheel. Although, I'm not sure if the carbon stuff dates from the same time as the rest of the group set.
high quality stuff and infuriatingly rare.
