Another frame ID
I picked up an old road bike that appeared to have a mixed bag of parts on it and I am trying to ID the frame. I don't think it was ever terribly nice or anything I am just curious.
When I got the bike it had a suntour VGT luxe rear derailleur, suntour barcons (which is actually what I bought it for), and diacompe centre pull brakes, and a "custom" paint job.
It also has a tange fork with a 0.833" inside diameter which I thought was used on BMX and cheaper bikes. Given the lugs and the forged (or nice stamped anyway) dropouts this frame seems like it was on something slightly nicer than bottom end. The original paint seems to have been silver and probably covered the top half of the forks until it was removed.
I am guessing Nishiki International after a quick web search; anybody have any thoughts?
Thanks.
