you have a mid 80s (1987 or so) schwinn paramount #5 (lower numbers are better in this case). But a very good frame and bunch of parts none the less. I'd paint that sucker rattle can black though!

It is a PDG 'Series' Paramount - a perfectly good bike, but not worth anything in the range of a Waterford Paramount. The bike was made in Japan - well made, in my opinion. Series 5 means that it had (and still has) middle-of-the-road components.

In the state it is in - it isn't worth more than $200 (depending on the market).

EDIT: BTW, that's a small frame; how tall are you? Maybe some adjustments are all you need.

You have a pretty rusty japanese made schwinn paramount circa 1991 with pretty nice shimano components.

Actually higher numbers are better - but only because of the components. The Frames were the same.

Thanks for the replys.
How would you recommend selling it? I do not have any friends who ride so im thinking somehow over the internet would be the best way.
although i am unsure as to how to go about shipping.

Again, depending on where you are, Craigslist may be your best bet. No shipping to deal with.
