Bikes: I hate bikes!

I was unaware that Velo-Orage had coupons. If you have one where did you get it? I have some stuff to buy and sure could use one!

True dat.......VeloOrange is a very small company catering to the likes of a very small portion of the cycling community......It's more a labor of love. Not a huge corporation that probably doesn't even feel the pinch of coupons and discounts.

Seriously. V-O is the saviour of those of us whose parts aren't available from QBP. Don't punk them.

There is a space on the Velo Orange order page to provide a coupon code, but I've never seen a coupon and I don't expect to. I get the impression that Chris is getting all the business he can handle.

Heck, Performance LOVES having their coupons "stolen". It's advertising for them - that's why they put them out there. It's a psychological ploy to make you think you're getting a better deal or they're doing you a favor. But they get a sale out of it either way and have plenty of margin to take it.

VeloOrange, on the other hand doesn't have the margins and doesn't need to attract business that way - if you're shopping at VeloOrange, it's probably becase nobody else has hat funky old part you need!

velo-orange probably uses a commerce platform like Yahoo stores with a standard shopping cart. All of the merchants have the same functionality, whether they use it or not.

I've canceled more orders with Performance than I had filled due to their telling me "It's in stock!" followed by "We can ship it in 2 weeks!" So I won't do business with them anymore. I enjoy reading their catalog though. Keep it next to the toilet for a good giggle. Velo-Orange looks like a good crew - I just placed an order for an esoteric item. Don't care about coupons.

Happy trails.

Well they themselves provide at the checkout a window to enter a discount coupon, so i don't understand what's the big deal? They accept discount codes, only where to get one?

Way back VO in one of their blogs offered a discount code for a particular item or maybe by a particular date of order. I would not be chasing discount codes to consider a purchase, hey have what you want and it is a value or they don't.
