While a serial might be helpful, it is not more often than it is. Not knowing what you are seeking, photos are a good start. Drive side, components, etc. Do be sure they are big enough and clear enough to be of use and in focus.

Sounds as if its from the '70s or 80's, and it is likely $50-75 if in perfect, running condition.

Bikes: like 15. my favorite a 1951 schwinn spitfire cruiser. also have a 1959 amf roadmaster, 1962 jch deluxe cruiser among others.

hear is you answer:

how old is it?... for huffies, the 1st number of the serial number is also the last didget of the year it was made. ex: HC9857463 would be either 59, 69, 79, 89, or 99. just look at some of the other components on the bike to help you figure out if it was made in the 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's. that is how i figured the year on my 89 huffy gv cruiser.

how much is it worth?... it is a huffy. maybe something from the 50's or 60's would be worth a little something, but other than that they are not known for their high resale value.

Bikes: 1984 Miyata 310, 1986 Schwinn Sierra, 1987 Ross Mt. Hood, 1988 Schwinn LeTour, 1988 Trek 400T, 1981 Fuji S12-1977 Univega Grand Rally, S LTD, 1973 Sears Free Spirit 531, 197? FW Evans

Huffy built three speeds and before that they imported Raleigh bikes with Huffy badges. If your bike doesn't have a lugged frame, it is a Huffy built bike. Huffy changed the names and paint colors from year to year but not much got changed mechanically.

Once he found out he didn't have the Holy Grail, he was gone. You won't have to wait long for another like him to pop up and then disappear.

Gone, yes - to Craigslist to invent something about the bike that would make it appear rare.
