Can You Recognize This Bike?

Hey guys. This is a repost from road bikes; I realized this would be a better place for this question. Just wondering if anyone knew what kind of bike this is? I was really more interested in the year than anything else. All I know is that it's a Schwinn.

Schwinn Suburban (a bit of the name is still visible on the downtube). Serial number shall be on headtube - most reliable method of dating. Probably anywhere between late '60s and 1976. Early to mid '70s most likely. Looks like a replacement Schwinn chainguard.

Hey, great! I think I'm going to buy this; I was hoping it was mid-70's. Thanks for the reply Kurt!

Suburbans did not appear until 1970. They came in brown for a number of years. Take a look here to help you date it. https://www.geocities.com/sldatabook/detail7074.html

Bob has helped to peg it even better. 1970-1976.

Make sure you add a basket and bell like I did for this one I flipped. :-)
