Almost mint '76 Superior

Is an almost mint 1976 Schwinn Superior worth $400. The only thing missing is the original seat.

Bikes: I hate bikes!

Yes, if you want it. No, if you don't. I have seen the frame & fork go for around $200 on ebay, if in very nice shape. Other than the crankset and the frame, there is nothing particularly valuable on the bike. Also you have to contend with the weird Schwinn stem sizing. I would not pay $400. I passed on a lime green Sports Tourer (effectively the same bike) in very nice shape for $200......

The original seat, IMO, is not worth anything anyway. A nice leather saddle is so much better. Isn't your Superior nearly "mint" with the only exception being the missing crankset?

It is no longer with an original crank my friend. I like the Campy crank on the Superior so much, I think I'll just save the original Nervar.

Ageed! The Campy Record/Nuovo Record crankset is a very nice substitute!
