I need a vintage 1" chrome fork for my 80's Diamant--minimum of 210mm and no extreme rake--the dropouts and fork crown on the one that came with the frame were hopelessly buggered by some moron with a file.

Have lots of stuff and that, the name of which shall not be spoken....

Nope, it was a later forged stem. Ugly- and tends to stick in the steer tube- but not death prone.

Does anyone have an 8 or 9 speed Dura Ace group sitting around, or perhaps an 8/9 speed Record or Chorus group? I know, not likely, but I've got to build up this
frame before the weather turns nice!

Thanks!

I'll politely disagree. i had one, nice big cracks formed in it. The way the bolt pinches makes for a scary weak spot.

What size are you looking for?

How much work are you willing to do?

Any special preferences?

Those three brands are well-known enough to be sought-after and therefore more expensive. Will you accept a Centurion, Univega, Sekine, Raleigh...?

Wow, never had that happen to any of mine. I'll get ahold of the guy who bought it last year and swap it out for a Nitto.

Need:

Side-pull, shortish reach (500 - 550mm), pull on right side, non-recessed brake calipers.
Q/R skewers - could use a set - for 100 spacing in front, and 120 or 126 in the rear. make not important. Hoping for function and something a little better than "ratty looking".

Have:

Short reach Weinmann 405 brakes (recessed bolt, side pull, right side) calipers
Long reach Weinmann 735 brakes (non-recessed, side-pull, right side) calipers
Short-ish reach, Universal 68's (non-recessed, side pull, left side) calipers
New threadless, 1" Stronglight needle bearing headset
Used 36 hole Mavic MA-4 tubular rims
Sunshine Gyromaster hubs
NOS solid axle Sturmey Archer hubs - low flange 40/32 hole
some other odds and ends

PM me if you have brakes, but don't see something you'd like in trade posted. I do have some other things and am taking a guess at what might be appealing.

Have: Stuff. Lots of stuff.
I have a set of Dia Compe sidepulls from an early 80's Univega Sportour that I will trade for a complete alloy cantilever set that will fit an early 80's Univega Viva Touring. I don't know how many configurations/generations of cantilever brakes there are, so any advice is appreciated. Please respond to this thread or PM if interested. Photos of the Dia Compe side pulls &c. to be posted in due course.

Want: Campy ergo bits. Condition unimportant.

Last edited by stausty; 01-23-10 at 12:11 AM. Reason: Apparently the brake calipers I have do reach. 3 weeks from a Ph.D. and I didn't figure to loosen the nut a bit more.

They came with brandy new levers and turkeys that I won't be using, so if anyone's interested...
