I'm sure DX are close enough. There may be minor differences in the sealing mechanism but ceramic is ceramic....

I'm looking for a 60-64cm dedicated touring frame or entire bike. Miyata 1000, 610, Bridgestone, I don't care, as long as it's steel and quality. I have stuff to trade.....

I'm going to collect components each month as I have the money, and then have the wonderful Fritz at Dutch Bike Co. build it up.

The big question will be... paint colors. I want something unRaleigh and totally undignified but fun. I'll be pondering this for a while, I suspect.

Hi

I am looking for a 5 or 6 speed Suntour group for my 1983 Mercian King of Mercia Touring rebuild. I only have a frame and fork.

You can see multiple pics here: https://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/v/...fleur/Mercian/

Despite the age the bike she will run 700c wheels. It has horizontal campag drop outs. These are set at 120mm but with a bit of a flex i guess i might be able to pop in a 6 speed.

I am going to need:

Fixed wheel - ideally something like a 13,15,18,22,28 spread as nice even spread.
Rear Derailleur
Front Derailleur
BB
Crankset - i was thinking a two rings 46/50. I might be tempted by a triple if it would work well with everything else.
Chain
Hubs
DT Friction Shifters
Brake levers
Brakes
Brake hangers etc
Headset

If you have wheels also interested in these. If you have made up / can make up with Hubs and freewheels etc even better.

Ditto with seat posts, and bars, stems etc. If it interesting i might be tempted.

Drivetrain needs to be in great shape and either NOS, refurbed or just in great shape. I would prefer parts fitting with the handmade frame - so needs to be upper tier Suntour throughout.

Let me know what you have / what you think.

Andy

Neal, I have a pair of 27" Fiammi Yellow Label rims, used of course. You are welcome to them if that's what you're after. PM me.

What I am contemplating using but don't actually need yet are a 23.5mm clamp diameter alloy handlebar and a 110mm square taper spindle.

For a gear cable? If so, do you mean the plastic (or metal, if older) bit, which fits inside the metal bracket on the downtube? Or something else?

I'm looking for a standard Raleigh Sports-type Sturmey-Archer front hub--not the drum brake version or anything, just the regular one. Given the abundance AW rear hubs, I find it a little puzzling that the much simpler fronts are so much harder to find. Anyone? I have trade goods.

Might be closer to sport touring geometry, but the size and price seem right.
