ISO, and I KNOW it's a long shot. Looking for one brass roller for a Suntour Roller Cam brake. I got my High Sierra back, and it has one set with brass, and one set original plastic. I found one roller in a drawer at work, but the other was AWOL.,,,,BD

Like the gold pieces... If you have an orphaned set or even one side, please let me know....

Does the plastic do anything other than cover the spring? I haven't looked at those in a long long time. That said, I'm pretty sure I have one, PM me and we'll talk.

E: was talking about the plastic piece for the old shimano cantis. Can't help with the rollercam.

It actually holds the tension on the spring. If they're cracked or missing, the brake shoe rests against the rim. Not enough to stop the bike, but enough to irritate the heck out of you.,,,,BD

Also talking about the Shimano cantilevers..

Have: A pair of RX100 7speed Triple Brifters.

Want: Flip flop/singlespeed wheelset. Or track/SS cranks (square taper, octolink, external BB, whatever). If not that, try me, I don't know what I'm looking for until I see it.

RX100 brifters were all 8sp, not 7sp.

Perhaps it's the RSX model that you have?

Note that an 8sp shifter only clicks 7 times going from 1st to last gear. 1+7=8

I will never use this freewheel but i'm sure someone else could. I'm not looking for anything at the moment, just something interesting or of the same value.

ISO - braze-on shifter mounts for Bar end shifters or STI shifters.
Have - 50's or 60's J.Moyne 4 speed freewheel. Spins perfectly, the teeth are nice, a few scratches on the front though. I believe it's french threaded.

I also have some brand new Italian R/W/G Cinelli splash bar tape.

ISO nice appropriate bars/stem for '74ish Motobecane Grand Record. I traded to a friend for a 22mm Belleri stem and bars, like a dummy, because I had not checked, and sure enough the MB doesn't need the 'French' size. Around this time MB put Nitto 'racing alloy' stems and bars on the GR, then Philippe Professional, and I am sure others as well.

Also ISO a good quality 5 sp or Ultra-6 sp freewheel to fit 120mm rear DO on the same bike. The original Maillard 5 sp is in usable shape, but lacking the tool, it'll mean a trip to the LBS any time I want to take it off. Big cog no more than 26-28t as RD is Campy NR.

Have: Lots of stuff inc Stronglight crankset, and those Belleri stem/bars.

HAVE:
A fair amount of this & that.
That was one of the first things I worked on when I got into C&V bikes almost exactly three years ago. We somehow acquired two Specialized Hardrocks in short order; both had those brakes and that issue. Apparently it was a well known failure and for some years Shimano would send out replacements for that part, free, to anyone who complained. However that version of the brakes dates to the 90s so the replacement program has long ended. They are very common brakes though so a rummage through the co-op parts bins (if you have one) might well yield the right part; it did for me. I'll look to see if I still have one but I doubt it...I fixed up and sold or gave away 3 or 4 other Hardrocks.
