Definitely, it just came yesterday and the colors are much better in person. The paint and decals are in fantastic condition. I'm thinking the 105 group for my Diamondback Centurion may end up on this instead. Pretty sure this is destined for it......

Given to me from the dad (and our neighbor) of my daughter's bff. Future project. Bonus Chris King headset. Will probably re-install the stock fork as I like this color. Another addition to my herd of Specialized bikes. lol

^^ that's like finding a saddle bag with 10 dollars tucked inside!

Today's freebie and most likely my go-to roadie in the future:
53cm 1990's DB Centurion Master TG made n Japan. 105 groupset intact except for the missing wheels. Some rust here and there but I'll take care of that. Frame looks straight. Cool splatter paint job. Can't wait to work on this one day.

I got this as a bonus in a bulk parts purchase at a swap meet this past weekend.

I picked this up the other day. I posted it in the CL thread. It was very dirty, and a bit rusty. It came with a Campagnolo 50th Anniversary group, sans pedals and freewheel (not cleaned yet). I spent the day cleaning it up,

Nice DeRosa!

I had one of those Diamondbacks in the 90s. Great handling bikes!

Noticed in a neighbor's yard his utility trailer loaded up for a dump run with what looked like a couple of bikes. Don't know the guy well and did not want to wander into the yard too far so left a note on his windshield proposing that if he was discarding them I'd be willing to donate them to the local co-op instead. Saw him tonight and got the bikes, a Next and a Huffy, both cheapo mountain bikes. Nothing of interest to me so I will donate them. If they'd been interesting I'd have had to donate something in their place.

I took some pics of the 50th group, still needs work, but getting there:

De Rosa came out pretty good, apart from the chrome:

that grouppo is sex

that will go great on a build or fetch some $$ on ebay. I've acquired and sold so many different bike items, including campy tools sets, cobaltos, c record groups and other rare stuff but i've never had any 50th parts in my hands and i've seen a lot of big collections.

I as well sold a really nice De Rosa frame as well, unfortunately mine had a lot of cosmetic issues.

somebody threw this out up the street from me.. I cannot believe it. Not C &V but i don't care. This is basically the same bike i had stolen from me a few years ago, even the same color.

Picked up this for not too many dollars, everything is C-Record except the hubs and it has some neat pantographs and the tubes are fluted, similar to Gilco tubes on a Colnago Master

While looking for a smaller frame to build for a brother-in-law I came across an old Raleigh. (auto salvage yard- $10)
Frame was my size so I picked it up of course. Searching the usual sites I think it's a '72 Raleigh (Nottingham badged)
Gran Sport (frame- I think the original campy gear was swapped down-). That's based on the location of the SN, chromed forks (full chrome- painted over half way down- chrome rear stays-round. And one real puzzler is a "TT" marked on the underside of the bottom bracket. It is the original black and chrome, but I cant find any catalog pics to match it completely. Or any dates on components. Any suggestions??

tyler_fred 08-24-17 05:50 AM

Well dang it..I already have my grail. Just my luck...
