Not C&V yet but here is yesterday's score for $700.

The paint is in rough shape and is peeling pretty easily. I feel like the titanium is trying to break through and shine. I'm all about original paint but it might turn into this some day...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/COLNAGO-CT-1...p2047675.l2557

Without further ado, my first titanium ride!

Colnago CT-1 Titanium/Carbon blend. 55 cm
Chorus and Record Group (10 speed)
White Industries H2/H3 hubs laced to Stans No Tube rims.
Grand Bois Cerf 28mm tires (It has room for 28s!)

She will get new handlebars, tape and saddle when I get around to it.

Mine is not "saved from the dump", but a catch. A Sturmey Archer XFR8 hub laced to a Mavic CXv33 700C rim. I put it on the truing stand and it is true and round, plus it shifts through all gears. $50

I don't go to the Dump, anymore, but I do get lucky at yard sales, for some reason. Last week, a Colnago Sport and a CCM Moto Bike...

Today, again at a yard sale, an old Falcon that I kinda feel like keeping...

My Falcon flew about 300 miles straight south from where Randyjawa's landed. An '80s Falcon Victory with Reynolds 531P (professional) frameset. This one looked like it should have been thrown in the dump. The paint was really bad but no rust. Stripped it completely down and built it back up.

Nice gift ! That will be easy to work up into a rider. Lower the handle bar stem.

Welcome to BF !

I'm about to go pick up this Murray Spectra for $20 (yes, Murray...). It has sat in a shed since the early nineties, and looks fantastic other than the faded decal on one side of the top tube. It should be a nice bike to run errands on without worrying about it. I'll take some pictures when I bring it back in about an hour.

It's interesting that they decided to only tape a portion of the handlebar and put grips on the rest.

Lol I already bought it. There was a stiff link which gave me the opportunity to offer her $15.

Oh... too late. But its only 15 bucks lost. Down at that price range (zero to 50), you gotta do garage sales to get the bargains.

If Nashville has the high crime then indeed it's a good bike to use. Or just to get rained on.

Sometimes you have to look at the bike's purpose, not the pedigree. You did good.

I like to run bikes as they were sold, but, if I can't find a donor, it will be a rat rod project. Any idea on model and year?

Model... Really not sure. Catalogs might have something. Question is what side of the pond was it made for.

Year...Banded pulley and Cotters could mean early 70's . Not much left to look at. Can a serial # be found?

Picked up this '95 Timberlin Millenium tandem last night. Not really a classic and maybe not even vintage. It is in excellent condition. Dropped $75 on it. The picture is pretty bad. It is parked in front of the two $25 Trek 330 bikes I picked up a few weeks ago.

I could never find a tandem for that price. Nuts!

I've found tandems at that price...actually I found those very noodly cheap Schwinn tandems made for...hmmm, I guess made for the family to go around the block on for between $100 and $300, so I say he found a great deal. I haven't found a used tandem that was worth riding ever since I moved to Fort Wayne.
