While I haven't been here much lately and life got in the way of building, riding and flipping bikes I have been picking up bikes when I can, this is just a few I have found in the last yr. I am just getting back to fixing some of these so they can move on to a new home.

^^ I hope so! Those cable guides are crusty!

The Rossin is very interesting

They are. The frame is too. Corrosion has eaten into the tubing so it's wall art.
I did harvest the 86 shimano 600 group set that's in useable shape. :thumb:
everything came apart surprisingly easy except for the dust cap on the drive side crank arm. It's frozen in there and I'm going to have to do some damage to get it out. I will try not to damage the arm.

That Raleigh is a prize. Full 531 like the Pro, very few were sold in the States and there's probably somebody who'd really like to have it.

One of mine also; it looks and is tough (I assume Rossin's proprietary design). I also like this shell from my Moser Leader utilizing an integral bridge design. I don't know the year of the frame nor the maker (late '80s?).

The shell pictured on the Moser was made by Silva.

Thank you for the identification. I am not familiar with most lug/BB shell manufacturers; I have yet to see that shell on another Moser or any other frame. I'm curious as to when Moser started and stopped using that part (would help with frame year/identification). My other Moser has the stylized "FM" cut-out; shells seen on other Moser's have the "U"-shaped "arrow" cut-out shell.

Picked up this 1986 Centurion Lemans RS today. A little rough, but can be fixed up nicely. I know the derailleur is broken, but the hanger is fine. This is the ad picture. Should be a fun project on a well liked model of bikes.

Dang that's awesome. Hope to see some pics post-rehab.

Just moments in front of the garbage truck. Quick decision - time for N+1. Best I can tell it was built in the 10-speed days 1976. Nothing special
Suntour derailleur, friction shift, center pull brakes, aluminum handlebars, steel rims. Spent the morning making it rideable - take off water bottle holder, frame pump holder, rear carrier thing, adjust brakes, true both wheels, pump up tires to 50lb (too much dry rot for more), clean chain, adj f/r derailleurs, slight oil on cables, free up front brake lever. Took a 2 mile ride, and it got me home.

I picked up this mid '70s PX10 from a scrapper. The closest I have to what it looked like when I bought it is the first photo which was taken after I had torn it down quite a bit. The second is the bike that I just finished restoring.

Nicely done. Love the lugs and seat post detail.

Been trying to get these for awhile and finally met up with the seller. Couple nice bar bags. One cleat so I’ll just use one on a rack.

Yeah ME! lol, I got this for way less than the RD is worth, didn't know what it was then once I did I jumped on it.

Peugot Leader. Junior racers are not very common, here or in the wild. This one was cheap enough that I bought it for my grandson, in the hope he will like it when large enough. On loan in the meantime. The only problem was that the plump Michelin only just clears the chainstays. Replaced for usability, but I did not find another whitewall, as there are few 490mm tyres available.

These were "saved from the dump", kind of. Guy bought a box of car parts at an estate auction a few years ago and found these in it. He said he was going to toss them but decided somebody might be able to use them so he did a little research on Ebay then listed them on the local FB marketplace. Never been installed and have a little shelf wear on the plastic lever covers but they are complete including the instruction sheet. There are some extra cables and a pair of braze on DT shifter bosses too. $40 for everything.

Was at the Co Op yesterday to drop off some parts they might find useful and noticed a Schwinn in the storage room. Brooks saddle, mildewed but nice. Shimano S.I.S. Crappy rattle can respray and missing the center cable guide - but I hefted it and it was very light, felt like quality. Still, I don't need more bikes, especially one that needs work like that, so I left and thought nothing more of it until my nephew called last night. I'd told him in late 2018 I'd build him a ride when he was ready and apparently he was finally ready - his timing was certainly good. I went back to the Co Op today to get the bike and only after I got it home did I realize the nice mix of parts on it - Campy Record hubs and brake levers, Campy shifters. How the heck did I miss seeing those before? I'm losing my touch...

Not sure but I think it's a Super Sport. Frame and Shimano components seem right for that and the headbadge indicates Dec '86. The SN is on the bottom bracket, K 8462, not sure how to interpret that yet. I'll probably strip the paint and braze on a replacement guide, then give it a decent respray and give it to my nephew. Minus the Brooks and Campy stuff of course. I almost felt guilty re the Brooks after the mechanic expressed some interest in it, but I'd brought him a set of barcons I found in my parts bin last night he liked so I think we're good.

Hey tyler_fred, yes Revolutions. With tax $54- something, pretty good. I've been in the storage rooms a few times but never saw anything interesting to me until now. I usually just snoop through the parts bins. They also had some nice refurbed bikes for sale including a tall Trek with Ishiwata tubing.

Torelli for $20

I saved this last summer. It made a great commuter in NYC

A friend gave me this huge Fuji del REY... said he was done with it. It's in riding condition but could use some tires and a bit of TLC. Photos show bike as is.

The rims are gold in the center. Did it come from the factory this way?

Not huge. That bike also came in a 27" frame that would rightly be considered huge. Fuji did use gold and gold-centered rims on some bikes so they probably are OEM.

Thanks for the info, T.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, since it's way too big for me. Maybe strip it down, clean it up and sell the frame set. The parts will come in handy for refreshing other bikes. Anyway, I'm trying not to keep too many bikes around here...

the BB shell on the Moser is an investment-cast unit made by Silva (Italy) No idea if Silva made any of the Rossin's IC bits: possible but possibly not.

EDIT: missed that Insidious C. beat me to it and ID'd the Silva BB shell already. Well we are both right, but he was quicker! ;)
