What is this thing?
First off these picks suck, sory.
I would love to know a make and model for this frame
The brakes are campi and there is something on the handle bars I cant read
I really have no idea what this is as there is no maker written anywhere on the frame
Its pretty light and Ive been riding it around just want to know what it is
Accept for the craziness of the last few weeks holidays, rain and a flat.

From: Hervey Bay, Qld, Australia.
Bikes: Colnago (82, 85, 89, 90, 91, 96, 03), 85 Cinelli, 90 Rossin, 83 Alan, 82 Bianchi, 78 Fountain, 2 x Pinarello, Malvern Star (37), Hillman (70's), 80's Beretto Lo-Pro Track, 80's Kenevans Lo-Pro, Columbus Max (95), DeGrandi (80's) Track.
Wow - quick ID by CV - 6.
It looks like a 70's model frame - top of the heap Reynolds 531 tubing. 3TTT bars and stem and what looks like a Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset.
A good old bike - it should be very nice to ride.

My aunt gave me the bike, left over from an ancient college relationship, which sat in her basement for the last 20 years I doubt in that time she changed anything. I had the bike worked on at a local shop where they replaced the tape on the handle bars, seat, break cables, and rims. I still have the rims which are light as hell. So, most likely, unless anything was changed right after it was purchased nothing has been added recently.

I think with the hex at the front, not too likely. But you know the French....ya never know what you will get.

Looks like early to Mid-1970s. Given the quality of the bike I suggest you go back to the shop and ask if they still have the original saddle. I wouldn't be surprised if it was an Ideale or unicanitor or some such highly coveted vintage saddle. In all fairness many shops may not be aware of the value of such items and simply resign them to the garbage pail assuming they are inferior to modern products.

Hard to say. According to one of my acquaintances who is quite obsessed with his SC, the SC could have either MAFAC CPs or Campag sidepulls starting ca 1969. It would appear this one came with the Campag as there is no CP brake cable stop at the rear. They were rather prominent. The stem is no help to me as I believe it is a replacement. Models from 69 and 70 would have Cinelli stems or Pivo. A 1971 bike would have either a Pivo stem or a 3TTT with a blank face clamping bolt and a conventional nut. The Campag brake models would have the 3TTT, MAFAC models would have the Pivo. But my own experience blow that correlation out of the water. My SC had a Pivo stem and Camapg brakes. This one also has Tipo hubs, which I think support 1969 to early 70s. But then my own SC had Record hubs. I believe they were original, but only the PO knows and he is no longer available. Of course all this is based on one person's experience.
It's French....what more can you say?
EDIT: Another clue is the remains of the 531 decal. Very early 70s. IIRC, this decal disappeared because the wording implied the forks and stays were butted also.
