Bikes: 2017 BMC Roadmachine 01 Enve wheels, Sram red etap,Cinelli Vigorelli single speed, 2009 Cannondale Capo, 2016 trek Domane 6.9, disc and Di2, 2016 Scott Scale 710, 27.5 plus tires and boost rims

I need some nomenclature

I am enjoying getting my 35 yo touring bike cleaned up and am searching parts on e-bay and CL all the time but I need some nomenclature.

What is the name of the part that clamps on the downtube that the shift cable housings seat into?

I have a Nervar Star cotterless crank that has a plastic screw in plug in on side of the bike but the plug on the shifter side is missing..what is that called?

Thanks

Mike

Bikes: Motobecane Mirage fixed gear, Nashbar Alpha Road 5000, Bianchi Grizzly, Coppi Fiorelli, , Schwinn Trike, , GT All Terra, Old Peugeot, Nishiki 3 speed, Bugatti, Cannondale Black Lightning, Dura All, Bianchi Touring, Bridgestone T700 & more

I'd say "downtube cable stop" and I'd guess from your description the plug is a crankarm dust cap?

The second is a crank arm dust cap.

The first probably has a couple names. I refer to it as a downtube shifter clamp.

I think the cable stop would be what the cable housing ends at, rather than what the shift levers attach to.
