Centurion frame, need information
Hi, new to the site.
I recently stumbled across an old bike frame lying against the fence in a carpark at Lidcombe.
I drove past it and decided to turn back and pick it up.
Glade I did because from what information I can find on it, it appears to be a Japanese made Centurion "All Purpose Bike" from the stickers.
I had a quick look online but can't find too much on these bikes.
Can anyone tell me some more about this frame?
Frame number is L4*51133, can't make out the 3rd digit. See picture attached.
I've begun stripping the forks off it and will take the bottom bracket off when I get some tools tomorrow. I've only ever restored a BMX or two back in my teens so I'll see how it turns out.
I've a got a few ideas on the finished product, just going to price it up and see how it stacks up. Can't spend a fortune because I've got other projects on the back burner that need to be finished off. This has just popped up which is a welcome distraction.

Thanks for the link. Started reading some of the pages but it's getting late and can't keep my eyes open. Posting a link to this post on the link you provided to see if anyone knows what year model this came from.

I can't see from any of the pics on the Sheldon site that closely matches the head sticker on front of the bike. The angles in the pictures have the handlebars covering them.
None of the other models have the same stickers or frame as the one I have. Not sure which year model it came from.
I'm new to all this but isn't a TIG weld very strong. Why does not having a lugged frame make any difference?
It's definately a steel frame, it's also got surface rust on it. It will come off with wire wheel.
