Dawes Atlantis, Red?

I thought all the atlantis' were blue but this threw me a loop.
seller says its 83. Has reynolds 531c decal on it too but obviously if you could put on an atlantis decal then why stop there?

He's trying to pull the big bucks for this one, and sadly I'm about to pay more than I should just so someone doesn't hack it up and make a fixed gear of it (like his ad was proclaiming).

So first, Is there a red atlantis?
Second, What's the best way to prove its the top model?
Third, I don't want to pay $200 for what's pictured but i don't want to see it down town with far less useful bits on it.

A-HA

Frameset would come with
-front and rear brakes (pads are still good)
-front and rear derailleurs
-fluked seatpost
-stock seat (Barnett?)
-crankset
-bottom bracket (repacked)
-brake levers (replacemet)
-stem
-alloy handlebars
-shifters
-clamp-on cable guides

looks like everything's original except for brake levers, wheels, pedals, bar tape, cables.

I think I'll pull the trigger, get my girlfriend to ride a lightweight (her size) and maybe keep it in the stable.
