My New Build
And my last bike! I looked for one of these for two years, then found a NOS, never built one in my size. It's not the color I would have picked, but I think it came out alright.
I have different cages on order, I don't care for those, but I've been riding it a LOT and need two cages in AZ.

Have you seen Shimano?
Having both old and new Campagnolo, I will say that I MUCH prefer the new design. Extremely comfortable, and compared to Shimano, well no comparison.
Know what else? They work!
I still have four bikes with vintage components on them, all Campagnolo Record. The comfort factor between the two is beyond comparison. I still ride the vintage, but less and less. I plan on riding my SR equipped Rossin for a long ride this weekend if I can talk a buddy into riding with me.
I'm riding the Rossin so that I have less of an advantage. The new Campy stuff is so good, that even an old fat guy has a leg up when riding it.

Yeah the Shimano is beyond ugly and is why I've been riding the Campy Record and Chorus 10 stuff for the last 10 years. To me that lever is perfection and I hope they keep it in their line. Sorry but the 11 is just ugly to me. And I cannot see how they would work any better than the current 10 speed levers.

Worth every penny.
Try going down a 10 mile descent, and then judge.
The new stuff just disappears in your NOT numb hands.
And yes, those are 10 speed 2009 Centaur.
Ask caterham about the 11 speed that he's been 'testing'.

A few naive questions, if I may:
1) How (and where) did you find a NOS never-built, in-your-size DeRosa? (I've never seen one, period.)
2) How did you decide upon those particular components?
3) Why a DeRosa?

That bike is awful and all wrong for you. I will gladly pay the shipping to my house and then I can dispose of the horrid thing properly.

The components were chosen because I wanted alloy, not carbon, and i wanted Campagnolo 10 speed and didn't want used . I also could not spend a fortune.
Why De Rosa? I saw this comment on the CR list a year or two ago:
I did a nice ride to visit from Verona to Lago Caldonazzo to visit Dario
Pegoretti last year. We chatted about many subjects and I remember in
particular his comments about De Rosa. Dario said that while many builders
could build one perfect bike out of 100, Ugo DeRosa would build 100 perfect
bikes out of 100.
Which bike did I sell? N+1
But I'm done now, I swear. Unless I come into a lot of money, then I'll give Dario a call.
