Hey this dude lives close to me... I think I might know a guy who would be into that frame, and that should fit his tall ass.

Guess I shouldn't have been that quick about proofreading it. Then again, I did not wish to repeat verbatim what others have said here.

I'll shut up and go back in my cave now...

No, no - I dig it! It's about time we starting separating the denim from the tweed.

I didn't have any luck removing the decals, so I used the next best thing: Adobe PhotoDeluxe. The results are ugly, but effective. The bike's relisted as a vintage chrome 64cm road bike. I decided to err on the side of caution and leave "Schwinn" out of the auction entirely. I don't anticipate that it'll actually sell, but that's okay, because I kinda want to turn it into a single-speed anyway...

There is absolutely no need in the world to censor the decal or badges. A simple explanation in your description is fine. Censoring them out adds significantly to the buyer's skepticism.

That said, it is most definitely a Schwinn, you can be assured of that. I'll wholeheartedly vouch for Scooper's determination that it is a Voyageur 11.8.

P.S.: Top tube decal can be removed with fine bronze wool.

I would leave it as is, describe what likely happened to it, and what it likely is, and go from there.
