Benotto Modelo 3000 (replacement)

I was going to scrape and save to buy a NOS Italian racing frame...

But this basically fell out of the sky and the guy was willing to cut a deal that worked in both of our favor.

The Modelo 3000 was my first actual racing bike, we fell in love very quickly, but the love was short lived...

I dont want to drift into the fork bending sob story again...

I actually like the aesthetics of the frame a bit more, although I really enjoy the Champagne... the Pearly White is wearing on me. The lugs on this frame are a bit different also, with painted cut-outs and such. There are also some other SLIGHT differences that would indicate to me and a few other people that the White is a higher quality frame.

The chrome on the fork is like new...

The only thing that got me was the Decals being tampered with... luckily I think if its executed properly I can spare the decals off my old frame.

I hope the Champagne frame doesnt get jealous... but it will have a great rest of its life hanging on my wall. (The downtube actually has an impact bubble)

Anyways, the first photos are of the new (to me) frame...
If this isnt a Modelo 3000 someone please let me know.

And this is my old love. I think they will integrate just wonderfully...

Wow! Really nice... I almost bought one locally here but how do I tell my GF that I need a 5th bike.
I know I've seen new Benotto decals on ebay.

Since she's your girlfriend - and not your wife - you simply tell her you're now on the lookout for bike number 6...
