Less interesting, but perhaps more useful if pedaling inflated the tires.

but it has the coveted "ball tickler" seat rise - you can't get that just any place.

Get some photos, then make an offer. Make sure the seller knows a restoration and respray is no small endeavour.
I ended up picking up this 3Rensho...condition was so-so. Frame is currently at the LBS for a stem + seat post unsticking...

Phoenix Craigs yesterday had some "new" listings, two new italian bikes, and a tandum. The italians were too big for me, but looked interesting.

Why install a flat bar for comfort then tilt the brake levers up like that? My fingers hurt just looking at this.

Original 1983 Trek 850, Reynolds 531 handmade lugged steel frame &fork

"The seat tube measures 27.0, but someone had a royal screw up and tried to hammer in a 27.2 seat post, resulting in the need to extend the cut in the sleeve to release the stuck post, there are no signs of any issues resulting from that, but it's the reason for the discount price on the frame."

Oh, ok - so it's totally safe to ride and you're charging full price (discounted) for the damaged frame. Cool.

The post clamp may be fully functional, but I'm with you, $200 is pretty high for an undamaged bare frame. With the damage, maybe $50 if it seems to hold the 27.0 seatpost securely.

Here's a bit of a reach, a "collectible" panasonic sport 500. No mention of the slight top tube bend....

"The Panasonic is a bit of a rarer frame, much more of a collectible than the Schwinn. although both are very much baseline products, missing rear brake"

Panasonic and Schwinn World Ten speed Frames - $100 (southpoint)

$100 for two mostly complete bikes isn't bad.

That Panasonic has a pretty unique top tube shape. Perhaps a small frame with a "comfort" style headtube.

It's the small frame, probably a 17" seat tube. That's how Panasonic did it back then.

Odd, those are listed in Portland, and located here in Eugene/Springfield.

I wonder if they would get more local interest if actually listed here in Eugene/Springfield.

No Cliff, I'm pretty sure they'd get exactly as much interest in Eugene as they're getting here.

Maybe the seller doesn't want people to just come and take it for a spin without any interest in buying it. At least those people willing to come 100+ miles to look at it may be INTERESTED.

No matter what, Cinelli Lasers are very cool in my book. At BAMF in 2013, John Barron gave a presentation about his experience selling bike stuff in Japan. I remember one of the pictures had a bunch of Lasers (maybe five or six), I believe all owned by the same guy. Every single one of them was different. I kinda think maybe each frame was unique. If not, they certainly changed the design frequently. Do a Google Images search for "Cinelli Laser" and scroll through the results. Lots and lots of variation.

They have been trying to sell this frame on ebay or in there shop for several years at least likely since it was produced in 2007.

In their defense, no matter when it was actually produced, it's not your typical commodity bike part. I don't think you can necessarily fault them for the high price.

The Lemond I posted here several months ago is still for sale, having been relisted many times. Current

Surly 1x1 - $4995 (Eugene)

For a mountain bike, it doesn't look too bad. Single Speed? I just can't imagine a $5000 bike built on a $475 steel frame.
As an aside, the nut on the other side of the front QR looks like the buttons used for a front fork stand for a motorcycle. Is this what I'm seeing and does it exist? Because that would be great and I'd buy one.
