I hadn't heard of Miele before, but it is fitting that they are being sold in Canada.

What is even odder about that ad is it starts with "WANTED", followed by specifying the color and the non-negotiable price.

Looking at Mile Bikes, there seem to be a lot hitting the market between $300 and $500 (which is probably about right). So, if that WANTED ad is actually a For-Sale ad, it sure needs something to convince me that it is a step above everything else.

So... Is this bike for the serious procrastinator, or for the early birds?

Do you need training wheels on your bike?
Girls 16" bicycle
18" bicycle
Custom bike 16" tires
Tough built 16" bike

He didn't put pink wheels on the Hummer, did he?

Perhaps it is time to invest in a new camera.

Fully tuned up and ready to ride.
Not to mention that the rear tire is flat.

And, it could use:
2 brake levers (get rid of the MTB thing).
Rear Brake caliper (front too?)
Is that 26" in the rear and 27" in the front?
And it could use a little better handlebar taping job.

Do we call this a Hobo-Fixie
No FD
No RD
No Shift Levers

But it still seems to have all the sprockets.

The frame doesn't look too bad for a cheap steel monstrosity. But, the bike itself in its current condition is only worth about $20... plus the $100+ to get it back on the road.

Did they fudge and add in one too many zeroes? Judging by their ad copy, I think they really expect to get this crazy price.

I don't think that's a real paramount mtb. From the picture, the chainstays are wrong. At least, that what i see.

I sure would like to see this bike with both wheels on the ground. Can't believe it is supposed to look like that.
Edit - looks like I'm wrong, found another picture and it's supposed to have that curve in the bottom and top tube.

I think the photo angle is hiding the curve.

Still, it's not a $1500 anything.

I like the semi-aero cable routing, although I'm not sure I've ever seen cable housing that was white on one end and red on the other end.

And, the cable routing looks like it would be uncomfortable to ride with the hands anywhere except for the drops. Routing down the center of the top of the bars, and gripping would be uncomfortable.

$200 is a little high, but not that outlandish.

WOOD you buy or ride one of these

Don't know if I would qualify this as wacky, but definitely different (and expensive)

Handmade Hardwood Road Bike 56CM

I am selling my one of a kind handmade hardwood bicycle. The frame size is 56cm, with traditional road geometry. Full carbon fork, 2x10 Microshift groupset, FSA compact crank, mega-exo bottom bracket, Easton EA70 handlebars, Vuelta semi-aero wheelset and Schwalbe Lugano 700x23 tires. All parts are brand new The frame is built using Ash, Black Walnut and Hickory hardwoods, and sealed with 2 part epoxy. The main triangle has been hollowed, but solid in the right spots. The seat/chainstays are multiple layers laminated into 1 solid triangle, very stiff, but supple. The bike weighs 23 lbs with pedals. This is the smoothest ride you will ever feel on 23mm tires. Check out my instagram profile, wildasincycles, to see the step by step of it's construction. I am asking $1500, or best offer. Thanks for looking

Weird and probably impractical but quite handsome, unlike a lot of other wooden bikes.

Pretty cool.

And because by nature the dropouts have to be bolted on, such a bike is a natural candidate for a belt drive.

Okay, so the frame, fork, wheels and tires are toast. Probably the tubes too. But the rest is totally worth a hundred bucks, man!

[h=2]vintage Schwinn road racer - $120 (Tempe, AZ)[/h]

Light blue 21 speed 1978 Schwinn ladies' bicycle. Drop down handle bars. Spent $200 on tune up and repairs upon first receiving bicycle (including new fork), but is currently damaged from a road accident (photos taken prior). Frame and wheels in need of repair. Needs new tubes/tires.

It wouldn't be a good deal unless the bike came with the flaming sweatpants.
