Okay I see now this is A BONTRAGER TITANIUM. I did not know they made A Titanium frame.

Price drop to $300 last time I check on the listing.
Yes the owner(s) were full of BS for the most part.
Looks to be sold.

And after more research I figure out it is A Titanium Sports Technologies (TST) road bike frame handmade in Washington, USA.
They made frames for Kona, Mongoose, Yeti, Sampson, Douglas, Gary Fisher, Bontrager, Etc..

Did you buy it?
Very few Titanium frames go for under $300, so it would have been a good deal, even if it needed a few upgrades.

If one doesn't quite know what one is selling, then might as well cover all of one's bases.

Vintage 80s COLNAGO NUOVO MEXICO frame set super master

It is a nice looking frame, but definitely a repaint. And, I think the seller finally caught the model with the "Master" as the last word in the description.

Yes.I offer them $250 and they accepted.Maybe I should have said $200,but I figure $250 was fair and I do not buy much used from craiglist. And it was listed at $600 at first.
The price was right. The frame is in very good shape. And I looked on Ebay and it seems similar Ti frames are listed for much more.

I have never owned or ridden A Ti frame before and really got interested in the bike as I have not seen another TST frame quite like this one when doing google search. Also the fork and seatpost have been replaced.
I'll make a thread or post in the titanium section with more pictures latter this week.

Good news is I'm tapped out for buying anything bicycle related for quite awhile,so I can spend less time searching ebay, craigslist etc..

This picture actually makes me sad. I can't think of any way this bike could look more dejected and broken. There doesn't look like there's anything salvageable- certainly not $20 worth. There is no dignity in death.

The right crank arm and pedal might be ok.

It has the typical TT/DT bend from a frontal crash, and the DT may have been also bent to the side, so the frame is toast.

You could actually probably salvage a bit out of it.

Hubs, freewheel (if not frozen), stem, bars, stem shifters, brake levers, derailleurs... depending on the condition of each piece.

A bike co-op could probably strip it and turn a bit of a profit on the parts if given to them for free.

Some pure gold I heard on a radio swap meet of the airwaves last night applies to these bikes:

"Has a few scratches, but that don't stop it running like a chimp."

I guess that's a good analogy, because the price is bananas.

You almost got me on that one.

But, I think the spindles have been reversed.
That must have taken at least some ambition to do.

Where to start with this one?

[h=2]Hand-Made Cinelli Italian Racing / Track Bike - $657 (Arlington)[/h]Unbelievably lightweight bike. Fully tuned, incredibly rare find. As solid an investment as buying Apple stock.

Okay, the bike itself isn't awful (notwithstanding those wheels...) and sellers have asked way more for way worse, but the ad copy still invites scorn and ridicule from anyone who knows the difference between a track bike and a Trek bike.

Not exactly. The correct toe clips for those pedals was clamped under the cleat and faced the other way.

Good Eye CliffordK!
I just zoomed in and see that the pedal on the right has the standard RH tread, so somebody did reverse the spindles.
I'm using Shimano 600 pedals on two of my bikes (set up correctly).
They are awkward to get into if your wearing running shoes. The "notches" on the shoe tread can catch on the V shaped part that is meant to hook under the cleats.
I bet this setup would have the reverse effect and catch when pulling your foot out

But that's exactly why the spindles would have to be reversed. Unless the rider's feet are mounted backwards on his legs, anyway…

I did accidentally buy a crankset that was retapped as a tandem Captain crankset. Remind me to stop skimming ads

Anyway, I could install those pedals on the crankset with some locktite, and it would flip them around the right way

Hipster herd-thinning? Nice little bike at a decent price, but can you believe what the seller is suggesting? You wouldn't need a killer seat because Nature would take care of the rest.

Men's vintage English 3 speed bike

Men's vintage English 3 speed bike - $100 (North Chesterfield)

make / manufacturer: Hercules

This is a really cool bike, I just don't ride it.Everything works could use a good cleaning and some adjustment to be super nice. The rear hub and shifter are Sturmey archer AW (always works). This would make a cool retro bike, flip handlebars go fender-less and brake-less add a killer seat and have fun.
Thanks
Wayne

And the saga continues..........
I advised the seller that the cages weren't supposed to be on that side and now the seller has changed the listing by removing the cages but the spindles are still reversed. If you look close you can see the "L" stamped into the spindle on the right.
Shimano 600 Ultegra Pedals | eBay

Hopefully a buyer who doesn't know any better won't strip out their crank arms.

Wrong thread for this. It looks like a legitimately interesting vintage tricycle -nothing wacky or weird about it.
