I normally don't respond to "make me an offer" Craigslist posts, but I had to see what this one was. I emailed the seller and later tonight he responds with a public group email (he included everyone who responded to the ad) saying:
its a 1965 raleigh record.

Both look 50's to me, and it would even out to about $200 for the ladies(reasonable), and $400 for the excellent condition mens. Antique ballooners and middleweights have their own pricing code. just as we do. He also said OBO, which makes it not too bad for a couple of nice antique bikes in decent shape.,,,,BD
On the other end of the spectrum however, is this dude. I wish I could find a $10 Free Spirit this weekend, air up the tires, and double my money
. Of course they probably want it delivered, so there goes the profit vs hassle ratio, lol.

funny thing is that the math does not add up. Even at wholesale these guys are $30 a piece. Shimano Acera/Alivio/Altus RDs brand new are $15 and Tourney RDs less than $10. SRAM X4s are $25 new and one certain online place has 9-speed Campy Mirage on clearance for that same $30...
