Trying to ID an old Schwinn
I'm sure you guys get flooded with these questions but it would be greatly appreciated if you could help out in any way. I've been reading up on the serial codes but I can't really figure too much out.
It was made in Japan and has the four digit code on the headbadge of 0450. So as I understand it this means it means it was made on the 45th day of 1970 or 1980. So according to that coding it was made on Feb 14, 1970 or 1980.
The second code near the left rear axle reads B023047. Now I believe this means it was made in February of a year ending in zero as well, but what does the rest tell me?
I've also attached a couple pictures as well, does this help at all with identifying it? After an hour or so of trying to figure it out my best guess is a 1980 Schwinn Le Tour but I'm really not sure. Many thanks.

I know nothing about your bike, but the color is possibly a match. Looks sharp!

I actually have one more question, how do I measure the frame? Is it from the center of the crank spindle to the top of the seat tube? It's a 25" or a 27" but it depends on what methodology you use.
I found this in the archives:
take a measuring tape or ruler.... put the end at the center of the crank spindle.... then measure to the end of the seat tube...
Now is where it gets tricky.... some manufacturers measure from center of bottom bracket to center of top tube. if you measure this way, you measure up to approximately center of where the top tube meets the seat tube.
Other manufacturers measure from center of bottom bracket to top of top tube. if you measure this way, you measure up to where the top of the top tube meets the seat tube.

That has to be a 27".
I thought it was the superior based on the color. Unless the white balance is off, that doesn't look like Scarlet Red, but then again, I've never seen that color in person. Certainly looks very orange from the photos...though yours doesn't have a chrome fork crown, which the superior does, so it's probably something else.

It's the travleler. There are actually some very slight remenants of the bade on frame, I just couldn't really tell what it said. The color's a little off because of the lighting, I'm also using an iPhone to take the picture.
