Bikes: Two wheeled ones
I bid $650, which I thought would win it. It didn't. It went for around 750-800ish. It was in PERFECT condition as well
I have a couple of nice bikes, and I generally can afford to be patient and particular on price. My general strategy is to decide what I'm willing to pay, bid it and if I don't get it, life goes on. I usually don't get it because I'm pretty careful about what I'm willing to go in on a bike for, and there's ALWAYS another cool bike down the road. The two that keep haunting me are the Lotus and this amazing Tom Kellog built Ross that I came in second on.
My memory of the actual pricing was apparently off...here's a thread about it (with a photo of the bike):

Formerly BBM's Dancelli frame in MAX tubing, now built up Doc-style & in my stable. Ultegra 6500, DA DT shifters, Open Pro rims on Ultegra hubs & Pro 3's. Not pictured, but now sporting an FSA 50t big ring for what I call a "kinda compact".

My daughter's hand-braised, racing Mercier done as an urban SS. They really were pink. And pink was Mercier's racing colors. The other pic shows one of the great champions of the period who consistently rode for Mercier — forget his name — on his pink machine.

You may have seen this bike previously in the miami vice thread, or the Steve bauer Boreas thread, but now you get a chance to see it in the PINK bike thread:

Bikes: Casati, Look, Torelli, Ridley, and a bunch of steel bikes from the 80s and the 90s..
I have never seen one, but Steve Bauer is one of my all time sprinter. Wish he would have won the Olympic and Roubaix.
I wonder why they put the cable guides on the bottom right hand side of the top tube?

you know what, i always like it when they do under top tube cable routing, it just makes the bike look smoother to me.
