Weight of "Typical" Steel Racing Frame ?

My heaviest frame(frame alongwith fork headset and stem) must weight 2.7-2.8 kilos. The rest of my high end steel frames (frame alongwith fork headset and stem) between 2.4-2.7kilos.

I hardly ever record the weight of a frameset. But as reference here's all my weight records built. Total is with bottle cages, pedals, saddles, etc. Basically ready to go except for the frame pump, saddle bag, and water bottles.

Yes, I'd say straight-guage 531 at 56cm would be about 6 pounds (or 2.7Kg)
That said, the British and Europeans made some really-good, butted hi-ten and cromo sets at 3.0K

I suppose you could determine the weight of all the components and subtract them to find the frame weight.
