Seller seems to be confusing Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil with Reynolds 531 tubing. Still a great deal!
Cheers,

If it weren't for the smoking good price (if the finish on the Sante components is in decent shape, they're worth more than the price of admission), this would be a WW shoo-in. Between the absence of a drive-side shot, his uncanny ability to shoot EVERY component at an angle that obfuscates the branding, not ONE horizontal photo, and the frame material gaffe, it's a grand slam. Oh, bonus - it appears to be cross-chained.

So grab that steep clueless-seller discount.....

In the official line-up, and probaby OEM-price-wise, yes. But functionally, I don't see any advantage over 600/Ultegra. In fact, the brake levers/calipers are a step DOWN, in that, for cosmetic reasons, it does not have the gradual cam-based release found on Dura Ace and 600/Ultegra, and even the 105 of the era.

Something seems off- those all look like European city bikes, and the roof on the house in the background of the photo does not look like it's in the US.....

It was originally posted for 3x that and he called it the "original mountain bike" or something like that.

Saw this one. Its a mystery, but frame has good details. Some little things point to 'French'. Within my sizing, and a great price. But alas...no room and I'm nearly done with opportunistic mystery buys. Nearly

one and only detail I can pick out is the centerpull brake arch on seat stays that MIGHT say "Gitane" TdF or such, depending on the DOs.
Forkcrown might confirm this but I can't make it out.

If any one checks the listing, please let us know how far you had to fly..
