Fuji Clubs all over NE

Classic 12 speed Club Fuji road bike - $265 (mid-coast)

Date: 2011-05-04, 6:15AM EDT
Reply to: sale-dur6b-2361526816@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
Vintage, but excellent shape, 12 speed Club Fuji road bike with updated components. Classic because it was built around 1970, technology back then was for thinner frame tubes at the middle of the tube and thicker where tube entered the joint sleeve. Made from real steel, this technique actually kept weight down. It is not a heavy bike. Riden in 3 Trek Across Maine recently, this bike was well designed for road riding. Components included: new rear hub sprocket and chain, modern seat ( the original one was hard leather and really was not fun ) replaced brake cables, so they operate smoothly, brake pads recently replaced. No pedals included.
Overall, this would be a perfect college campus bike or commuter ride. Oh yeah, it does have a few blemishes of rust, yes it's gotten soaked and riden to work for the last two summers... it can be touched up with a red enamel bought at Home Depot.
Not the fancy, sexy bike you see anymore, but plenty of fellow riders have come up to me and commented on the old style shifter levers located on the down-tube, very retro design and simply effective. This bike will serve anyone that just needs a second bike or a simple strong first bike. Please look at the pictures. No, I will not ship it, arrangements can be made for Mon-Fri pickup only in the mid-coast. Price is firm, please don't plan on a bargain basement deal.

For Sale....prices are best offer, of course.

55cm Tom Teesdale aluminum Criterium racing frame with an Edge carbon fork. 130mm rear spacing 100mm front spacing. One inch head tube. English 68mm bottom bracket. 26.8mm Seat tube. 31.6mm der. clamp installed for a braze on. I have two seat posts, one black, one silver. Also a post clamp. No headset included. there is currently a Shimano Dura Ace 7900 BB installed, and has only been used for about 200 miles. The paint isn't very nice. I contacted Mr. Teesdale about a repaint with decals. It'll run you $140. Not a bad price. The fork is carbon with aluminum drop outs and steer tube. Seriously, this is a fast, light, no B.S. frame. It's just too small for me. $160 with the BB, $150 without.

https://www.tetcycles.com/

57cm Francesco Moser Forma frame. Built in 2000, lugged Dedacciai Zero steel. I bought this frameset brand new about eight months back, it had been hanging on the wall in a local bike shop since new. I have two forks. The original chrome threaded fork, and an Italian steel threadless fork. 130mm rear spacing, 100mm front spacing. One inch headtube. Italian 70mm bottom bracket. Braze on front der. mount. 27.0 seat tube. I'll include a seat post and binder bolt. There is currently a Chris King Pewter threadless head set and a Shimano Dura Ace 7900 BB installed. I have around 1000 miles on this frame/BB. Excellent steel frame, nice paint, internally routed rear brake cable. I'd like $250 for this frameset with the extras.

I also have a one inch threadless Cinelli stem and 26.0 bars, as well as an ITM 1 1/8 threadless stem and bars that can be had with either frameset for a little extra.

Thanks, Tavis

52cm Guerciotti - 80s classic - Red with All Campy - $600 (Westford)

Date: 2011-05-06, 1:54AM EDT
Reply to: see below [Errors when replying to ads?]
52cm classic Italian red frame - All Campagnolo throughout (Campy is Athena group, I believe.). Very few miles (500 if that!) -- Unless a bike has been in a museum, I doubt you'll find a 25 year-old bike with less miles!

1980s equipment as expected - Sew-up wheels, downtube shifters, platform pedals. If you like the latest click shifting and auto-whatever, this bike is not for you.

The frame is in beautiful shape -- no rust, couple of minor pebble dings, but you really need to look for them. The paint and gold trim work is perfect. The Campy stuff looks like new. I have two like-new saddles for it -- Concour America and Avocet women's gel. Nice new yellow Cinelli cork tape. Photos do not do the bike justice -- This bike shines.

Rear rim is dinged (pothole) and needs to be replaced. Rear Campy hub and freewheel are all fine. Note that this bike has no tires mounted -- My old DeRosa used up all my sew-ups. Everything else on the bike works like the day it was built. It should with such low miles.

Add your own clincher wheels and clip-in pedals and this bike is a perfect all-around ride. A few years back, I had a buddy fly in to ride the PMC and he borrowed this bike. We adjusted the seat height the night before and he did the 192-mile Sturbridge-to-Ptown route with a smile on his face! Typical old-school Italian racing bike -- Very good performance and all-day comfort.

This Trek 520 touring frame has come up for sale on the local Craigslist and seems like a great deal for the right person. I communicated with the seller but the size is a little off for me (plus I don't need another touring bike), but I thought others might appreciate the heads up.

I have a early Trek touring frame. This was when Trek still handbuilt everything. It is a great riding frame and would make an amazing touring bike. It is grey and has Shimano drop-outs but was built up with campagnolo gran sport components. This was original sold as just a frame and was Trek's top of the line touring bike. Email me for pictures.
