Saw this on another thread posted by wicktedthump...these are nice bikes...good price...was about $550 new in the mid-eighties.. belongs here...

Peugeot Canyon Express
Saw this on CL this morning:
https://denver.craigslist.org/bik/2976844398.html
I had the 87 version of this bike for a couple weeks. I sold it because an emergency came up. My wife got the US Express which we kept. It was such an amazing experience, being able to hop curbs, cut across fields, everything I wished I could do on a road bike. Attached Thumbnails

1986 Peugeot Canyon Express

Saw this on Craigs this morning. I had an '87 model, but had to sell it. The price seems right. $125. No FD though.

I believe I paid $360 for it, and sold it for the same amount. I remember the buyer was having fits, and he got even madder when I pointed out he didn't have to pay sales tax. He did buy it though.

Seller claims he'll include the FD and original bars, stem, and front brake (why he took that off, who knows). Cool looking bike.

1977 Schwinn Paramount T32-9 Tandem Bike - $1250 (North Jersey)

Reply to: p7hmt-2964426025@sale.craigslist.org [SUP][Errors when replying to ads?][/SUP] [HR][/HR]
In addition to their renowned single-rider Paramount road bikes, for a number of years, Schwinn also produced a Paramount deluxe tandem "bicycle built for two". Marketed as a "15-speed touring and sports model for those who demand the best", this beautiful ride features the following construction and OEM components;

4130 Chrome Moly mainframe tubes with fillet-brazed joints
Campagnolo aluminum alloy three piece cranks with36-46-54 main wheel
Campagnolo Record large flange quick release hubs
Schwinn-approved GT-300 rear derailleur
Huret Success front derailleur
Mafac Cyclometeur brakes with braze on fittings
Mathauser brake blocks
Campagnolo seat posts
Brooks leather saddles
Approximately 43 lbs in weight
Finished in yellow sometimes referred to as "Kool Lemon"

This two-owner bike is unusual in that most T32-9 models were constructed with the same length seat tubes in the front and rear positions. This custom-built frame (which I have the original build sheet for) features a slightly shorter rear seat tube and an angled top tube for the stoker. I obtained this bike with Look clips but probably have at least one set of the Campagnolo SL Black pedals that would have come on this bike from the factory. A truly one of a kind premium quality vintage tandem in unmolested, original and ride able condition. $1250 delivery to Copake Auction/Swap Meet and other locations available. Limited shipping also available.

I have a Richard Sachs bicycle frame from 1979. This frame is in very good shape. It is pink, and purple. There are some spots on the frame that are showing wear. This frame has been in storage for the last 30+ years. Serious offers only. I have other photos of this frame. The picture of the frame shows a glare which makes it look as if there is something on the back part of the frame. It is just a glare, and there is nothing on that part of the frame.

Kona jake the Snake Frame, plus some extra parts. I responded 15 mins after it was listed, waiting on a call back.
It appears to be just what I need to build a cross bike. Price seems entirely reasonable.

Sure, that would make a fine fixie. I assume you're asking whether the seat tube is 54cm? If so, it's hard to tell the exact size. The sizes manufacturers advertise their bikes as (i.e. 21") might as well just be Small, Medium, Large, etc. It looks a little more like a 52 to me, but you're better off asking the seller to measure the seat tube for you, or better yet just go check it out.

Also, I'm not a Panasonic expert, but the stem shifters, turkey levers, and lack of rear derailleur hanger indicate that would have been an entry level bike. I'd offer a little less money, maybe $80-90. You'll need the extra scratch for your conversion.

Definitely a smallish frame and is probably a 52cm as you posit.

Ian, I'm about 5'9" and ride somewhere around 21"-23" or 54-58cm frames. If you're 5'10" inches, you're going to be a bit cramped with that frame in my opinion, unless you have really short legs. Like ecnewell mentioned, ask the seller to measure the seattube and see if we are correct on the frame size. It is possible we are wrong (though unlikely) and this will be a good fit for you...

About that meal: where do you live?

Near mint condition 1988 or 1989 (not sure which) Schwinn Tempo, size 25", originally purchased in California. My dad was the original owner, though he rarely used it. Shimano 105 gear. Great bike with ultra low mileage and recently serviced. I would keep it for myself but it is too small for me. Cash/local pick-up only.

This Bianchi road bike is in great running shape, but it is a little too small for me. Its a lightweight "mangy" (magnesium alloy) frame.
